i would rather just make sidearm ammo work like other special weapons.
lose all of it on death, besides a mag and a half. that's enough to get like 2-3 kills, and by then a special crate will be somewhere.

No. They've nerfed all of the Crucibles aggressive play styles, because they refuse to balance the game properly.

Edited by michael: 2/18/2017 12:58:22 PManyone who tries to play aggressively with a primary right now is just instantly melted by a sidearm. i have seen games where people use a sidearm as their primary, getting kills with it pretty much exclusively. whenever i try to play aggressively with my primary out, i just get sidearmed indefinitely. its boring. and you can say "adapt, play more passively, don't rush in, etc" but again, thats boring! most people right now use something like a parthian shot or no land beyond and then a sidearm, meaning playing both passively and aggressively is next to impossible. you rush and you get sidearmed. you play passively and you get double bodied or two bursted.

As well as watch footage of game play. Sadly, what I feared would happen is happening. A sidearm meta is taking over and the entire community is being forced to play the game MY way. I'm a mid range player, and all I'm seeing in videos is my own play style. 1. Lead with a grenade, finish off with a hand cannon or PR. 2. Mid-range duel between HC/PR users. Or 3. Push with a sidearm, which overwhelm some with a primary or you get a close range side arm duel. Over and over and over again. Even though I prefer to play this way it is BORING AND PREDICTABLE when EVERYONE is playing the same way. It basically like watching people play Halo. I'd probably be dominating if I were getting to play because this plays to the strength of my game. But who wants to win like this? When I can know what they guy is going to do almost as soon as he does?

Nah, this change has to be undone completely. Fusion Rifles got left in the dust because of it.
