Mass Effect Andromeda Positivity Thread!
I want this to be a place for us to discuss Andromeda in a positive way together! I'm sure some people will comment rudely anyway. But it's worth a shot. So tell me, what part of the new game interests you most? What are you hoping they show next? What looks the coolest you've seen in all the trailers? And what do you hope most will be in the game you haven't seen?

The gameplay looks way better than the older games.

Love the update to the powers. The ability to switch powers on the run will be great for insanity difficulty. And I can't wait to burn endless hours in the multi-player

1 ReplyWill be my first Mass Effect game, hoping it serves its purpose of keeping my occupied until other things come out, as I am getting bored of Battlefield one now, which is what I have been on since getting to my natural end on a certain game I won't mention (haha). From what I have seen it looks incredible, so ill have something to stare at as a minimum. Is there a website out there that lists everything that known about it in one place? I keep seeing little scraps of info, and a video now and then, here and there, but I fancy a good chunky read up of everything thats expected/planned.

First game since Destiny that I've been this excited for.

I know it will probably be a good game and that I will eventualy pick it up, but the current onslaught of good games has me less exited for it than many other games.

1 Reply1) I'm excited about is the freedom of class changes. It got a be tiring to make a new character as a different class. Plus Bioware said that there's lore behind why our Pathfinders can do that, I wanna know. 2) I'm excited for new/younger protagonists. Shepard was veteran soldier, now we're the young travelers... I wonder what kind of backstories we can choose from, if any. 3) The planets/terrain/aliens... we're in a DIFFERENT GALAXY!!! Wow. How can that NOT be exciting in and of itself? I hope there will be some explanation in game or lore-wise why we can understand the language of a new galaxy. 4) Mass Effect

I'm fine with what is released so far. Just name and release date got me excited. But I'm curious how effective the seamless loading is.

Meh until I saw the combat video yesterday. HYPE is through the roof but I'm still gonna wait for reviews and maybe a sale. Don't wanna play too many games at the same time this year.

The prospect of a "positivity thread" is ridiculous, especially for a game which's received overwhelming positivity. Pointing out that the facial animations are off or that a particular developer has some "nonplussed" views on society in no way negates the phenomenal reception that each trailer, vidoc and demo has achieved. You're essentially conceding that other people's opinions affect your own. What am I excited to do in Andromeda, though? Reenter the Mass Effect universe more than anything. I've always used games like these as a means to vicariously exhume as much chaos as possible, wherever possible. We all have to get it out somehow; RPGs are cathartic like that.

I'm excited for it. I have no expectations for it to be like the original ME Trilogy as that Trilogy is done. Being a pathfinder seems more interesting then saving the galaxy three different times (been done too much).
