Anyone want training bots for private matches? Use play stats to build the AIs. Even have celebrity bots.
Knights of the shadestep
Lord of the hardscopers
Anyone think that would be a good idea?
-
Git güd.... play the -blam!-ing game with us humans you shitlord....
-
Yes that would be an awesome idea in my opinion!
-
I'm a training bot that would like to be carried to the lighthouse someday.....
-
As pointed out why just crucible? Use player data to drop more advanced guardian based pve mobs into zones. So replace taken drops with a fireteam of anti guardians. Then for real fun let bungie ask staff and player to be the swap ins every now and again. That will put an edge on your pve.
-
You could do a wave system. Or objective training Sims.
-
2 RepliesWhy have BOTs when you can have real people to practice against in a private match? Unless you already can't handle playing against real people...
-
Join a bunch of friends who are bad at crucible and you will see many training bots on the opposing team.
-
1 ReplyThey have a hard enough time coding this shit. Let's not have them make something suuuuper hard to do. lol
-
We asked for this for years in Halo. Eventually we got Firefight,

1 ReplyEdited by Penguins_Against_Tarrifs: 2/18/2017 1:33:33 AMNice idea but won't work. The enemy AI can only work within the framework of what it's been programmed to do. As with anything like that you can soon predict how the AI will work and take measures to counter it. The "training" aspect will soon be made obsolete. Human players are always going to be harder to predict and give you, as the opponent, a wider range of scenarios to work your way out of.

Just look through my recent games and invite my last trials team theres some mindless bots for you.

Edited by CaptainCrunK90: 2/18/2017 12:21:46 AMPeople like you are my training bots! Just kidding sir

20 RepliesWhat about a 'Heroic' patrol mode where the ads move and attack you using tactics seen in Crucible. Grind for rep and practice for pvp.
-
I Like it !
-
3 RepliesThe problem is getting bots to act and react the way real humans do.
-
Nothing more dangerous than a casual difficulty bot with a longshot.
-
They would have to run base versions of guns (white guns) and react based off of otherr players recorded paths and tactics (trials play chart). Or have difficulty levels of easy (common) normal (uncommon) hard (rare) and Very Hard (legendary with god rolls) to make a challenge and give no reputation gains at the end of a match.
-
Me and some guys were just talking about this yeaterday in private matches. I think it would be great.
-
I want a stable game capable of satisfying both sides.. casual and elite..
-
It would be cool like combat training in cod. Only problem would be that destiny has way to many abilities, armor configurations, weapon loadouts. Be easy to just have them run around and do stupid stuff but to have a "hard" mode or whatever that would be very difficult to program. I am all for it though. It would be awesome

6 RepliesThe majority of the player base are training bots. How much easier do you want it ? ;)
-
2 RepliesIt's called PvE.
-
Edited by CaptainW1nky: 2/17/2017 4:06:27 PMI want...... to be able to troll and kill people in PvE........... that would make PvE enjoyable for me lmfao... I dont think id ever leave patrol. Especially if it was set up kind of like the division in a sense with bases you could go to all over the planet instead of safe houses to get quests or blueprints that require you to do quests to get certain exotics/legendaries.... but that's just me :) it would just add another dynamic to the game and give you something to do and lord knows this game needs things to do.

"Knights of the shadestep" We need more like this.
-
Too advanced for bungie. Sad to think that I've never had to say something like that about a so-call AAA developer. But Bungie can't even handle basic shit.
