I had a Red Spectre drop for me in the Crucible today. The weapon has rangefinder, perfect balance, hand-laid stock, smallbore, and counterbalance. Does this seem like I just picked up a god roll? Let me know!

In my experience no perks can help that gun. Good luck. Have a nice day buddy.

2 RepliesTry it out for yourself, and decide for yourself. Besides... red spectre is a trash ass weapon anyway.
-
Absolutely a god roll. Will it kill anyone consistently in Crucible...absolutely not. Not a good gun unfortunately.
-
God roll for killing dregs in the Cosmodrome. That's about it.

Stand down, drop your rewards, pick up your best memes, and shitpost! All posts that are on-topic will be bombarded in downboats.

2 RepliesHip fire, Rifled Barrel, Icarus are the perks I'm looking for on Autos now. But, your roll is still really great.

Roll is decent, gun is shit

That does sound like a good roll. However, there is a good way to stop all of this anguish over weapons and rolls. Just play with what you have and delete everything else as you get them.
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 2/20/2017 9:35:13 PMIt would be good if the weapon didn't suck. The awkward recoil pattern means that the Red Spectre struggles badly against more accurate weapons with fast TTK's. Just use a Suros or Genesis Chain.

I have one with counterbalance, perfect balance and hip fire. Its basically a shitty version of the Monte Carlo..
-
Good roll.
-
4 RepliesBetter to just stick with Monte Carlo/Vision Stone

4 RepliesThat is quite possibly the best roll you could get for a Red Spectre. Quite similar to my Haakon's Hatchet w/ Rangefinder, Perfect Balance/Appended Mag/Reinforced Barrel, and Counterbalance. My recommendation is to use Smallbore. The extra range will really help with damage falloff. What sights do you have on it, pray tell?

I took a big shit, its kinda brown, Now that there son is a god roll.
-
Dismantle it.
-
I've got rangefinder, counterbalance and Smallbore on mine.
-
Spectre has trash stats and even a god roll can't save it.
-
3 RepliesThat roll makes it functional...

1 ReplyIt's a good roll, but the Red Spectre still suffers from being a generally unreliable weapon.
-
2 RepliesA good roll on a Red Spectre is lipstick on a pig.

2 RepliesIt's good but you know what's better
a nice, healthy banana
Sounds like a great roll. As other people mentioned, best bet is to just give it a test run for a few matches and see how it works for you. Post back how it goes. Kind of curious. High ROF/low Impact ARs don't work for me personally, but some players are great with them. I've gotten some Red Spectres with decent stability perks, but have trouble controlling them for some reason. Only legendary AR that's performing the way I prefer is a Grim Citizen I got from a rank-up package that has Sureshot, Hand Laid Stock, and Glass Half Full.

If that's not a God roll spectre it's the next thing to it have fun
-
9 RepliesConsider using Perfect Balance over Hand-laid Stock. This combination, using Counterbalance, should yield better results with a very smooth bullet grouping pattern at a pretty solid range.
-
1 ReplyWithout seeing the gun, it's hard for me to say; it has potential, but I can't remember the node layout, and I can't be bothered to look it up. Equip it, and you might get some better / more accurate replies.

4 RepliesI have almost the exact roll on a Hatchet from Taken King Iron Banner. Was this archetype of AR buffed at all?
