Wow, the responses are so damn negative. Give these guys a break, at least they update an almost 3yo game.
That being said, the update isn't quite the 'buffdate' it was supposed to be. Did you even playtest it at all? With competent players, not your developers with potato aim and reflexes?
Let us test these changes for you, select a few guardians and pitch them against each other. Let them sign a NDA, fixed that. Me, and many more, will gladly help you guys out from making mistakes like these.
It's so sad, this game has so much potential.

When you see other MP titles releasing double, if not, triple the size of tweaks/fixes regularly while Destiny still struggles to see a single tweak monthly AFTER 3 WHOLE YEARS & somehow STILL messes up something after all this time, yeah people notice & speak out. They just break and break the game to keep the 3 v 3 pvp noobs happy.

It was better before the update. The will get no "slack" because everyone involved failed to do the most basic of testing. You want me to believe at no point in the process did someone use ward of dawn and not notice that something was not normal? The complaint isn't about the choices they made with the patch. It is about the horrendous execution, and the complete disregard displayed towards the end users.

I'm not saying don't voice your concerns. I'm saying voice them in a beneficial way. "Get Rekt you dickless d-bags. Thanks for ruining the game, as always. I hate everything because I'm a frustrated, perpetual child and it is all the Bungie's fault." Or "Hey, Bungie! Can you further explain this buff and provide data on why you thought it was a good idea? The live stream and the patch notes don't seem to justify it. Were there any regressive tests performed? What data did that provide to further the end result? What were the test metrics? I don't this this was beneficial."

I don't know if you have much experience on these forums. I don't mean that in a condescending way either. Bungie does not pay attention to grammatically correct or non abusive posts/requests. They do however pay a great deal of attention to the more juvenile ones.

That sheds new light on why PVP seems to get more attention than PVE. Haha I usually stay away from forums because I just play to play. Don't see any benefit in posting.

I think they stepped of off that idea. Destiny 2 is confirmed and around the corner, which probably will be a 'fresh' start. We can only wait (and play other games).

See the problem is that they pissed because they released a buggy patch that screwed over various classes... Also there were some broken promises that were made in the stream as well... They also screwed over the PvE community... :p

I don't think it's an accidental nerf. They did this on purpose, because health regen in general is too OP as is Quickdraw (according to Bungie). The special ammo economy nerf is justified, but they still haven't brought up some archetypes of primaries to a good TTK. You want us to use primaries? Buff them so they have the lowest TTK. And PvE players were screwed over since y2. Too bad, because there's a lot of backstory in here.

Still they made it seem like it was a buggy patch... also there is an exploit that is going on as well, which wasn't mentioned on their notes or this post... So they released a buggy patch... kind of a bad practice if you ask me... :p

It's a thin line they're balancing on (see what I did there lol). Either release a buggy patch early or release a good patch later. Both have pro and cons, but imo it's always better to push a good product late than a crappy product early. I haven't played after the new update yet, but I'll be sure to do some testing :)

They make their community wait months and months for new patches then when they release them its as if they didn't even test it. A while back they released a patch where everyone was invisible & sometimes you'd shoot someone and only do 1 damage. Bungie is extremely lazy & I hope activision starts firing some of Bungie's employees so we can get people who are actually passionate about their job. They don't deserve a break. I don't take it personally bro. We both have different opinions and that's ok :) But these people do their jobs and probably work hard. Too bad the nerfs are so inconsistent and not transparant. I wonder where they get their feedback from, because numbers alone aren't a good measure. Let's just test this patch for a week and see what happens.

Sorry, I am not paid to test any game company's products. To the contrary. This isn't a beta. It's a fully productionized game that at this point should have mature SDLC practices pretty well nailed down. This is a joke. In the real world people get fired for this bush league crap.

They have code monkeys and interns working on this game and it honestly gives me multiple aneurysms every time I have to think about it. Sure, they could be focusing on D2 but that's not an excuse for being blatantly ignorant to community feedback and implementing nerfs based on what they personally find annoying. This is a shitshow and regardless of whether we get used to this patch, one thing I'm certain of is that we'll never get a fun balanced game any time soon, nevertheless a fun broken one at the very least when the game is in their hands.
