You should probably go test it out yourself
Let's picture 2 scenarios for an example
scenario A: bladedancer cozmo has just killed deej, cozmo's health is regenerating thus preparing him for the encounter against josh, josh shoots at cozmo, cozmo doesn't die because his health was full
scenario B: bladedancer cozmo has just killed deej, cozmo regenerated his health but not all of it because he hasn't started recovering yet, josh shoots at cozmo, cozmo dies because he's half health, hurray josh.
"B" is what you're getting and apparently it affected voidwalkers rendering the life steal build somewhat unusable in pve

scenario C: as you rush in risking the shotgun crit that will end your blade run and get the kill with a very narrow escape and *any source of damage* is just close enough to stop the health regen and leave you with ONE point of health and ONE point of shield that is sure to be taken by that oh so distant shotgun that in all fairness should have given you a chance for a blade attack in return. with the greater health bonus with regen and just a portion of shield a not so close encounter will now leave a weaker guardian, however when the shotgun/melee $hit is hitting the fan this change very well may result in more predictable situations allowing for some more decision making rather than spamming and hoping the targeting is on point. I notice many good players seem to use razors edge for the range and avoid close engagement entirely. I hope that it may remove SOME risk allowing for a more consistent, less frustrating experience using a close quarters super.

Yes, but the patch notes say "Immediately starts Health regen" and "Restores more Health per kill". That sounds like a buff to me. I will be trying it out tonight.

Well you technically can call it a change rather then buff or a nerf

Edited by blade329: 2/14/2017 7:53:08 PMWait, the light bulb just came one. Instead of a full regen you get a fixed amount. It's more if you kill a guardian and less if you damage one. They sort of do a play on words by putting this statement "Gives a flat amount of Health/Shield per activation" after the others. This should have been the first sentence. Yup, it's a nerf. Damn. This is going to really hurt it in PvE. Time to switch to Stormcaller....with it's junk grenades.

Actually this could be useful in prison of elders
just sayin'
