When I used to play patrol on Venus there was this spot where you could glitch and see dragons I don't know what they are but what obviously caused them to be here and what created them. Are they a enemy or a foe. You can see them flying around Venus

4 RepliesBatadactyls, Venus Natives. I have no clue how the Vex deal with them.
-
This is an old topic, do people still talk about it?
-
They are Batadactyles. They are mutated animals we brought to Venus during the Golden Age. The name is weird because Bungie argued if they are more like Bats or Pterodactyles. Farawell.
-
Those are Rakk from Borderlands. (jk)
-
You can also see similar flying creatures above the last city.
-
They are called Batadactyls by bungie. They kind of just fly around, and they probably nest on the giant skyscrapers and stuff that is around.

4 RepliesThey are the dingos of Venus Batdactyls I have definitely butchered that but all I know is I thought that they were arhamkaras at first. Common mistake comrade I also know that an unknown warlock regime wiped them completely out of existence Used there bones as armour Claws of Arhamkara, Bones Of Eao, Light beyond nemisis Don't know exactly if hunters had a role in the wiping out of arhamkaras But they definitely harvested to remains for Exotic armour The name also comes from a Sanskrit the attachment to ones ego They were also highly intelligent seen as wish full, many gaurdians sought them out in search of Raw Power Warlocks used the fossiled bones to harvest the powers, I think that warlocks actually "welded" the power also into Titan and Hunter parts. There knowledge and power was such a high price and many gaurdians fell to the darkness, however it's was decided the bargains were far too high a price and so began "The Great Arhamkara Hunt" The armour pieces also have the lines Oh bearer/reader mine Which also so happens to appear in the Book Of Sorrows Many believe a connection I can see it, you eat the worms for it to grant power You deal bargains wihthe arhamkaras to have granted power In which is solely believed to be of same species just a different adaption the world's they come from. That's as far as I know come to mind There's probably more on a website Also here's some cool artwork on the dragons with some awesome looking ghosts and warlock armour

11 RepliesThese are a little known species called batdactyls that are native to Venus. They are commonly mistaken as ahamkara but those were "wiped out" centuries ago. They're definitely not flying that close to territory retaken by the vanguard. Don't feel bad about getting it wrong as almost everyone does at first.

Batadactyls. Just a part of the sky box.

3 RepliesEdited by TrolleyProblem: 2/14/2017 12:28:41 PMDon't be discouraged. They've been flying up there for 3 years now. They're harmless! Oh, and as for any one telling you they're ahamkara; they're just batadactyls. Of this you can be assured! ...
... oh reader mine...
They are called batodactyles unoficially by the developers. They are just like the birds at the tower, just decorations.

Don't worry, they're just batadactyls. They've been around since Destiny first came out and are confirmed to not be dragons or Ahamkara. I would like to study their biology and know if they are some form of reptile or bird or mammal
-
1 ReplyProbably the ahamkara things
-
Used to land on Venus go right hit first set of buildings and look up at sky you'd see the Dragon circling way above and the giant bat both, don't know if they still there or not
-
1 Replythey are ahamkara.. lots about them in the grimoire cards
-
They're just wild life. You can get to them using glitches. They're weird bat bird things. Not dragons
-
They are giant bat-like creatures not dragons (can't remember their name)
-
They are batydactyls
-
You're about 2 years too late on "discovering" them
