This is urgent. I was working on a model in my room and I was using some silver enamel paint. I put the paint tooth pick in my mouth (not in it but held it with my lips). Felt like something was on my lips so I went to the bathroom and saw I had silver enamel on my lips. I washed it off. But now I have started to feel a burning in the back of my throat and I feel sick to my stomach. I just wanted to know if I can die from this stuff or am I paranoid. I read the label and all it said was keep away from fire. I went on Testors.com (the brand was testors) and looked at the sections and found nothing on the enamel paints. I am not trolling I swear so if I can get a straight answer you can make fun of me later

Call poison control. Do not post on a forum if you have an emergency. https://youtu.be/uesx85EHRTo

8 RepliesI am a painting contractor. You will be fine. You would have to drink the paint or inject it into your blood stream to kill you.

If it says on the label "In case of accidental ingestion consult a mortician" you're screwed...
-
Gargle some bleach you should be good
-
Depends on how much and how you feel. It is toxic.
-
Follow up with a ton of turpentine. That takes care of paint extremely well.
-
1 ReplyWash your mouth out with petroleum, follow that with a cigarette. This way you will not die from the enamel paint, guaranteed.

2 RepliesApparently it can cause some mental impairment, such as asking medical questions on a video game forum.

If you are looking for a legitimate answer... First, Im not a doctor. I would assume it can cause skin irritation if not washed off. Being on your lips, I would bet the amount on a toothpick isn't life threatening. Can the fumes and additives cause irritation to your throat and mucosa glands, probably. If you are really concerned about it, call your local poison control. If this is bait... got me.
