Will only make people use The Waltz (Future War cult pulse).
Taking High cal away from fast firing Pulses will only make people use Blind perdition (Trials pulse rifle).
People will always use what they think is best. This high cal thing is overblown to the point where I think bungie might give it a shotpackage treatment.
Maybe instead of whining if players would try to "git gud" things like this wouldn't be an issue.
2 RepliesBungie already said on stream their nerfing high caliber on clever not removing it. Pulse rifles in general are also getting their base flinch reduced and high caliber is being reduced as well. So it won't matter what pulse you use its not going to flinch you like crazy which is a good thing
-
2 RepliesJoke's on you, I already use the Waltz when I need to use a pulse rifle! Joking aside, removing High Caliber Rounds won't fix the problem, they need to do two things to HCR / Clever Dragon / Grasp Archetypes right now: 1. Decrease the stagger High RoF Pulse Rifles do (They did it with the Doctrine, they can do it here too); Make HCR have a falloff to where they don't work when you're too far out of range of your opponent. 2. Drastically increase the damage falloff at Scout Rifle ranges, as it stands right now, pulse rifles (especially High RoF) have almost unnoticeable damage falloff). I've been outgunned and staggered nearly cross map and lost battles with my scout rifle from ridiculous ranges against Clever Dragons. It's absurd. Just my two cents / opinions.

1 ReplyDont remove it, add it to auto rifles with equivalente rate of fire
-
2 RepliesThey should take it away from all high rof guns. Save it for high impact weapons
-
1 ReplyHCR should not be removed, but should be nerfed a bit. I don't see anything wrong with some perks being better than others, but at this point in time when it comes to pulse rifles(HRoF) nothing comes close to HCR.

3 RepliesEdited by Ve7n00m: 2/7/2017 1:50:49 PMPeople are sick of seeing everyone use the same loadout, of playing against people using the same loadout game after game after game. So they blame the most likely suspect for that over usage, because let's face it that's what the majority of players use most of the time. I get killed by a Matador more than the amount of times I get killed by a primary combined, it gets boring and frustrating but I'm not asking them to nerf them, I want them to reduce Special ammo. The reason people use it is because it IS the best primary, um I mean Special weapon for PVP and they CAN use it because you can play a full game of PVP and NEVER run out of special ammo whilst getting anywhere between 10-15 kills with it! That's why people hate it, and Clever Dragon with High Cal is just better than most if not all other primary weapons right now, it's easy to use and very, very effective. It allows you to stay out of Hand canon range and still kills quicker than almost all other primaries.
There will always be imbalance so stop trying to balance.
Pls go
-
3 RepliesIt should be removed from all high ROF pulses and only be on medium and low ROF
-
Like it or not, it's gone.
-
4 RepliesI got a ridiculous roll from the last iron banner, high cal, perfect balance and glass half full. I have no idea what they were thinking in allowing these kind of rolls into the game, however nerfing is not the answer. Nerfing is never the answer.
-
IDK, the nerfs are killing the game but high rate of fire puls rifles have been killing the game for me to. Too much range, flinch, flexibility and top tier ttk. When a gun out shoots a scout perked for the edge of mid range AND a sidearm, be it i don't land all head shots... it's too much, and I don't think you can just buff everything else unless you wanna make everything else one shot less to kill.
-
2 RepliesNext it'll be take hcr off sidearms.
-
35 RepliesHow about take out HCR in full? Why should little timmy have an advantage over little bobby because timmy has a high cal weapon and bobby does not. What if bobby has a great roll on a waltz but gets his ass kicked verse a clever dragon that was sold with high cal rounds. In other words. No perk should give a gun that much of an advantage. Especially a mod perk. So its either make every gun have it which will turn destiny into a pile of dog poo or take it out.
-
They can take HCR away from Clever Dragon but it's still going to kill in eight tenths of a second across any range. They have made it far to easy to be accurate with the most forgiving of pulse rifles. HCR is only a distraction from the real issue with the way weapons are balanced within each class.
-
How about make other weapons good instead of nerfing other weapons that are already good
-
7 RepliesInstead of taking it off weapons... MAKE IT SO PRIMARIES ARE HIGHLY UNAFFECTED BY FLINCH - less so for the faster firing archetypes.
-
3 RepliesDude grab something else with HCR to combat the problem. I often use the Monte to deal with these fools. If I can put more HCR in them then they can put in me then I'm good.
-
Replace HCR with Extended Mag. And that's it, that's the only nerf to Clever Dragons. Wouldn't be so bad IMO
-
It's not that much of a difference. You notice it but the change is minor even on clever dragon
-
Edited by blade329: 2/7/2017 4:35:45 PMIt's totally overblown. I use a Clever Dragon without HCR, on my Hunter, and it's just as effective. It's just players whining about good guns shutting them down in Trials of Osiris. It's BS. You remove HCR and they will STILL COMPLAIN.......it's what they do.

Shhh, the community isn't that smart, you're going to hurt their brains... ;)

1 ReplyEdited by CynicalSapper: 2/7/2017 9:15:33 AMEventually we will be throwing marshmallows at each other. We need buffs not nerfs.
-
7 RepliesIt doesn't need to be taken away completely. Just deactivated in PvP.
-
Wouldnt mind seeing the waltz instead with it's lower stability
-
I honestly think that HCR should either only work in PvE or have more drawbacks to it.
-
If anything, it will either get a flinch reduction, or like you said, shotpackage treatment.
