Cool theory. My personal theory for the awoken is they just got caught in the blast of light emitted by the traveler but since I can't disprove your theory I geuss I'll just have to wait.

It certainly seems like there was an event at the end of the collapse that put everything into the way it is now. A sort of pulse/purge. I can't wait for more cards that describe the tail end of the collapse.

Wasn't the collapse to do with the initial attempts to use siva to better humanity? Didn't the exodus fail because rasputin went haywire and dead orbit couldn't get people off earth? I'm asking as im not sure.

The collapse began when the darkness entered our system and starting wiping us out. Rasputin tried to fight it, but he didn't even scratch it, so he deactivated the solar defences and hid away in his vault. (To ensure his own survival) People tried to run, but they ran straight into the dark. Those people got caught up in the reef, and became the awoken we know today.

I'm hoping for a destiny prequel down the road. But then again it might put us theorists out of a job.

Even if they were to release a prequel, there's still loads more to theorize about. Events that have yet to happen. Motives of mysterious benefactors. Etc.
