Accidently Left Clan, Lost Admin Privelages

Has anyone had the issue of accidentally leaving your clan on the Android app and then losing admin privelages? I kept hitting the button at the top right corner of the screen because I was trying to figure out how to post something and I accidentally hit leave group instead. I am the founder of the clan and now I'm not.. I asked to join back and of course my boyfriend put me back, but now he is the admin and I am not. My suggestion to Bungie is to add a confirmation process like when you hit 'leave group' the app should ask 'Are you sure you want to leave this group?' Another thing to add to the app that would be useful is allowing admins to give admin privelages to other members if they would like. I love the game but I do not like this app. This app is not easy to use without making a mistake.

  • Yep, there is not way to regain foundership only admin ship (I don't think foundership is a word is it) ;p

  • Hi Audrey, I would recommend using a web browser for clan settings. Your boyfriend will be able to promote you back to an admin through the Member section of the group settings. You may also be able to get the founder status back if you wish by obtaining your admin status back as mentioned above. Then make sure there aren't any other admins expect for you and your boyfriend (who is now founder). Have your boyfriend leave the clan. This will force the founder status to the only remaining admin. Then you can promote him back to an admin again once he rejoins. For more info regarding groups/clans, check out the link below. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12612 Hope this helps

I just tested it on a group I meant to leave just to be sure and yeah- it asks you if you are sure and warns you that if you are the last member of that group it will be deleted. I think you must have accidentally clicked yes before you registered the popup. Groups used to have dozens more features than they do now. They were basically rendered useless in 2013 with the Bnext update, with Bungie instead opting to focus on only 'clans' as part of the Destiny experience rather than having a place for a community to develop.

      • I'd suggest posting in #feedback instead of #help as it sounds like you understand what went wrong, but are suggesting a change to the system, so this should definitely be in #feedback. It's more likely to get seen by the people that discuss changes to the game, website, and app there.
