Which WotM Challenge is harder?

Vosik the Archpriest

30

Aksis

128

Which Wrath of the Machine Challenge do you think is more challenging? Vosik or Aksis? After getting 3 full sets of raid armor and working on full ornaments, I've clearly spent too much time doing this raid. Even with people who know what to do, challenges alone can take anywhere from half an hour to four hours. Even now, after both challenges have been out for several months, I still find raid teams each week having this same debate. Some say Vosik is harder: There are so many more adds which can easily kill you. Bombs glitch and don't close doors even when thrown or guardians die even after activating a room. While others say Aksis: The time between getting super and still hitting Aksis with empowerment is so short. Aksis' back will close instantaneously with the slightest bit of lag or he will randomly throw guardians off his back killing them with misadventures to walls or ceiling. Which is worse? I know there will also be many people who will say they are both easy, but I want to know which one you think is more of a pain, more infuriating or just plain annoying. Thanks for the read/poll vote and may the light be with you, guardian. Edit 1: Several guardians have brought up a great point for Aksis. Aksis, with random empowerments, requires the whole team to know what's going on while the vosik challenge only relies extra on the two bomb throwers to close the doors.

  • What makes Aksis hard is the one kid who doesn't know what's going and always manages to be empowered every time.

    • My xbox went nuts in the november update and for some reason it rarely notifies me when invites come in. This caused me to sit out almost of months of trying to complete this challenge. I'm finally able to recieve invites but dam... good teams are sooooo rare now, its fustrating. I have yet to complete the challenge, the problem is always someone missing or forgetting about the supercharge... that is all. Good hunting! Lol

      • Aksis doesn't randomly throw people off his back. He flings people dumb enough to jump near his head when he is standing up. All you have to do to avoid it is walk off his back, preferably in a direction away from the head. If you jump, and are anywhere near the head when he starts the animation to stand up he will fling you, 100% of the time. It isn't random.

      • Vosik, because your aim has to be perfect. Even when it's perfect there is a chance the door won't close. I really don't know why people that know Aksis mechanics still have trouble with the challenge. It's almost the same! If you are not slamming aksis, then slam the floor!

        • If anyone says vosik is hard, they deserve to experience more lag in crucible than anyone else. Child's play.

        • I guess I'm one of the people who will say both aren't that hard, but only with a good team and perfect coordination. Whenever I play with less experienced teams or a tram which doesn't know each other well, both challenges are extremely hard. That's because the Challenges don't necessarily increase difficult itself, but because they require much more coordination and teamwork. Because of that, personally I think the Aksis Challenge is harder. I've had many teams now that can play well together, but as soon as one Player dies, everyone panics and they cannot figure out what to do in the short time frame until Aksis teleports again. Some teams fail simply because one Player isn't paying enough attention. I think the Vosik Challenge is a little more forgiving when a Player dies, it's a little easier to coordinate. Yes, the adds are a pain and hard to handle alone on Vosik, but it is possible. Aksis requires more attention, perfect callouts through the entire fight. Just my opinion though. I know that many deem Vosik as the harder challenge.

          • I've seen some super weird stuff on Vosik. I think the challenge is easier than Aksis cause you only need 2 people (the door closers) to actually change what they're doing. But I've seen some seriously weird stuff when fighting Vosik. My last time performing the challenge I was running the front bomb in the mid, and it was falling perfectly on top of of the wall that lines that center platform that the adds drop down onto. I'd have to jump up to grab it each time 😂. In that same round our captain from the mid would constantly drop down and jump to the left side, when I'd jump over to get him he'd jump back to the mid. He did this 3 times in a row, like he was actively avoiding my raze-lighter. I've completed the raid dozens of time and I've never seen that before or since. It was super weird 👽. But, I personally think the Aksis challenge is more difficult to complete as a team because it requires all players to understand and perform the mechanic.

          • While neither are hard I will say I've had a harder time on vosik just because more things can go wrong. Bombs do glitch and not close doors, there are way more adds, randomly dying in a safe room. I generally skip this challenge because sometimes raid teams just don't work out, and that's a whole other discussion. Aksis just seems easier to me, if he isn't on your side than go hit your plate. Less adds, and overall just less of a chance for things to go wrong. Really the only difficult part is captains and that's not even difficult.

          • Vosik, not hard, but all six of you need to be aware of the rooms available to you and some people can't throw the bomb at the panel to save their life. Aksis is easier because you're only relying on three people at a time for stuns and supers. The other three can quite literally stand around and do nothing. Neither is hard if you have six people that know how to do them.
