Best sniper rifle for pvp?
I've been using the But not forgotten sniper rifle, nailed a few good head shots including a single shot double kill the other night. Was wondering what is the best sniper rifle I can get right now? Just started using a sniper so I'm kind of new to what perks and stuff I need. Any suggestions?

You need a good scope, the most prefered is the shortgaze scope, ambush scope will do fine as well. You also want snap shot or quick draw on a sniper. The last perk is irrelevant. Use No Land Beyond for practice as well.

6 RepliesThe Event Horizon and But Not Forgotten are currently my favorite options. Although the best sniper is subjective. Use as many as you can and find out which one works the best for you. As for perks, Hidden Hand, Snapshot, Quickdraw, and any sort of stability increasing perks are good options. Ignore Unflinching. It sounds like it would be good but it's useless. Take a Knee is pretty good, you just have to remember to crouch to activate it. For scopes, any sort of low zoom scope is what you should look for. Longview SLR10, Ambush, and Shortgaze are what I can think of off the top of my head right now.

Im no sniper God but I've been using patience and time quite a bit recently. I've used all kinds of various archetypes of snipers with good rolls and I like the handling of this one.

1 ReplyAnother good one to try out is the event horizon from the crucible vendor. It comes with shortgaze, spray and play, smallbore, and hidden hand. It doesn't have much AA but the mad range gives it a pretty big hitbox and makes it feel pretty sticky. Also since you're starting out it is pretty much a max damage sniper so pulling a body shot will leave them really hurt. My buddy uses a laughing heart and absolutely destroys people with it. I don't like low impact snipers but to each is their own.

2 RepliesI like but not forgotten a lot. 1k stare is one of my favorites. The one I picked up lately and like a lot is deposition Vll from new monarchy. I know a lot of people will disagree but it handles beautifully and if you need to you can two tap bodies really quick.
