OMG.. husk of the pit really ? I had that white weapon for a long time because i found it curiously funny and unique since im a year 3 player, but i discarded last weekend (ty vault space) and now after reading this i realized its the first step to get necrochasm.. wow, just wow.

I just got husk from killing a random ogre on patrols, didn't even know what it was for until I came here, the only reason I didn't scrap it was because it came with an exotic quest. :P

I did the exact same thing, except I dismantled mine a long time ago.. and have been trying off and on for months now trying to get him to drop that damn thing. it's maddening.. I was lucky enough to get the crux of Crota months ago, still no drop. I just tried again for the past couple of hours.. nothing. lame. does anyone know if you have it, dismantle it, can you still get it again? I'm thinking not. because I've done this stupid grind hundreds of times now..
