While I was playing the game yesterday, I had a dumb idea: take a Reliant Regal around one of the off-road routes without rolling or flagging the time (this point is important later on here). I succeeded but had a pleasant surprise: top 1% of player times, so I investigated the leaderboards. Didn't have to go far just to find out how bad the community is, as immediately behind my time was the Lamborghini LM002 (Lamborghini's only production truck, the Urus is a concept SUV, I believe, either way, it ain't in full production). To find out that I had beaten several clean runs with one less wheel is nothing short of a miracle. One such that baffles me beyond my existence. For that, I mean HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO SET A FAST TIME WITHOUT CRASHING OR USING REWIND?! There are lots more fast times but they blew it because somewhere on the track, they either rolled, used rewind or butchered their run so badly that I don't even know how to describe it. When I last checked, my position on the leaderboard for this Rivals event (Switchback Trail, B class) was around 850th. Out of 60 thousand players. In a 3-wheeled car, vs 4 wheeled cars.
Moral of the story: git gud, learn the lines, learn how cars work, set them up right and set better lap times.
Edit: I admit, this sounds like complete arrogance in a superiority sense, but I kinda expected the players on FH3 to have enough skill to make at least one clean run in their lives, don't even have to be on a technical track, but the drag strip doesn't count, as it's just a straight line.
Edit: I'm starting to consider separating my rant from the story itself...

2 RepliesThe thing that bothers me the most is that the devs crafted a beautiful world but players in free roam just hangout by the parking lot drifting in their ricers.

2 RepliesThere wasn't a good selection of muscle cars in FH3.

3 RepliesFirst things first, Forza Horizon 3 is not a simulator and does not abide by any racing rules! Top players do have proper equipment and skills, but more importantly they utilize shortcuts and cutting corners things that are penalized in real life racing. Don't take this game seriously, enjoy fast cars and beautiful scenery!!!

7 RepliesI play forza just for fun I don't care in the slightest how good or bad other players are. Don't stress dumb little things like that is all I gotta say.

5 RepliesPTSD to Forza Horizon 2 I remember when people would race low grade cars to get an advantage in drag racing (Looking at you Jaguar D-Type). Personally, I ran an X-Class Ultima. I remember when some guys with S1-Class cars tried to go up against me with a 3 second head start or so. Still won.
