First off, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum category. Read first before deciding to move. It didn't make sense to post it to the help section because I'm not experiencing an issue with the quest.
Ok, so let me give a little back story about all this. A couple weeks ago I bought a "new" game without actually researching it, thought it would be a fun game to play when I have friends over or my girlfriend over.
Anyways, I found out after I started the game that there's a lot of glitches with the MP part of the game, and that the split screen option doesn't work if it's a guest user (My girlfriend doesn't have a PS account or a Playstation), it only works if the other players have an actual PSN account (I think it might be the same for Xbox users, not sure).
So as a work around, I had to create a second PSN account with my other email account. Now I have two PSN accounts on my PS4.
My question is this....
Now that I have 2 accounts, can I get the refer a friend quest line? Or do I have to buy a brand new copy of destiny?
I have a friend visiting for the weekend soon and he's bringing his Playstation and Destiny game, I'm curious if I can activate the refer-a-friend quest without buying another copy, and using my friends copy on my other account. Or is the quest line tied to the activation code?
I know that the friend account has to be new to the game for 7 days, that much I know.

1 ReplyRequirements for refer a friend. You have to be classed as "Veteran" The friend has to be under 7 days old. It has to be their copy of the game, if it was gameshared it won't work.
