Never went flawless, barely did any trials, never messed with raid. 400 across three characters and just had a fun time doing it. Still having fun although admittedly I'm running out of things to do.

2 RepliesBeta player here. I think OP should focus on achieving 400 light on his own characters before worrying about how others reach 400. Nothing personal, just saying. In vanilla year one, we had to obtain all VoG raid armor to reach level 30. It sucked. Most of us could never get the boots to drop, thus the phrase "forever 29" was common. That sucked. Why in the world would you want to revert to that silly loot system from year one? It was terrible. Grind the same activity over and over week after week while praying for RNG to drop the one armor piece you need. Thank the stars Iron Banner offered a second option a couple weeks before they upped the max level to 32. LOL... I like the fact we have numerous paths to max level/light now. It provides a choice. Options are good, not cheesy. I will say that SRL shouldn't drop max light gear. That was a bit too easy for people. SRL should be capped at 390 light.

1 ReplyEdited by Lull9: 1/27/2017 12:26:00 PMSad that it bothers you what other people get in a video game.
-
Wrong. Havent done either ..im 400
-
It's possible to do without those activities.

3 Repliesits your fault for judging people by light score , you are probably also that guy that wont let a 385 into raid for too low light :D its awesome people can hit max without having to bother raiding , like that that can at least work on getting geared up to even get a chance to raid in this elitist community without ingame matchmaking
-
1 ReplyImo this would be a better game if less attention was paid to "light level" and more to making the game fun, varied, fair, and full of life instead of stagnant shite.
-
I have completed the raid and max all my toons every iron banner and totally disagree with you. I play solo and I've built my light level up from playing hundreds of crucible matches. Why should max level only be available to people who run the raid or trails every week. Another example of elitests talking crap to put down the more casual players. This is a console game not a profession. If someone doesn't know how to raid help them. If you have a lesser skilled player on your trials team don't be a dick about it, you might find yourself on a team someday when you are the weak link.
-
completely wrong.. while I agree with you I think the only way to max light should be iron banner, trials or the raids.. it just isn't like that
-
You see all these 400 lights running around and you invite one to raid and he ask what to do? Come on i get you have to learn but unlesss you want flawless or did raid you won't hit 400
I've never completed a raid or went flawless !
-
I don't see the problem with it personally, though I do think it was made extremely easy to get to 400, I can understand that some people don't enjoy the company of others, which you almost always need to raid and go flawless.
-
2 RepliesYou do realize that the Iron Banner loop hole was there since vanilla right? Iron banner boots were the answer to many a bad RNG in the vault of glass for players. I understand kind of where you are speaking from though. This was Bungie's fault though. Many won't even bother to chase light level and if there is nothing in the raid weapons that make them the weapons to have then why bother. They have killed their game by killing the grind. As a mostly solo player Some of the group activities for me are more of a major pain in the ass and avoided but some times when I am very bored I take one up solo for something to do. Who would have dreamed that catering to the casual player could kill a game.

5 RepliesYou're an idiot the raid is lame and like 75% of people who play this game play it for it's pvp modes, not for the dumb raids
-
the normal crucible rank packages and EndGame rewards raise your level too
-
One of the things I dislike about RoI is that it made the raid meaningless. I have one completion and have all three characters at 400. In my opinion, they made it too easy to get to 400.

9 RepliesEdited by Aborted Enigma: 1/27/2017 1:45:30 AMAll three of my characters are 400. Never done the new raid and I don't do trials. So what?
-
2 RepliesI hit 400 with ONLY Archon's Forge.................................
-
Got all 3 of my characters to 400 without doing a single run of WotM... Forge Nightfalls IB Crucible Not hard
-
Not So. I never set foot in Trials nor Ran the raid to get to 390+. I did it simply by ranking up Factions, COE, POE and Gunsmith (who now drop gear at up to 390 light) to get my gear up to 390. Then I decoded my horded Exotic engrams (which decrypt at 391 to 395 light) one at a time and then infused those into other gear. That inched my Titan up until he was high 390's and then I ran the Forge to get high 390+ Ghosts and Artifacts to get those last couple of points to 400. Once I had my Titan at 400, then he decrypted all Exotic engrams with him and then they got infused into my Hunter and Warlocks gear to bring them up to 400.
-
Is this a request? Cause you can solo to a 400. I'd rather take a noob at 400 light into a raid for the first time than someone who is lower light...
-
What a stupid idea. I mean come on. Seriously? I realise you may encounter frustration caused by players at 400 light who have not raided but really? I'm sure you can find other ways to feel like a special snowflake.
-
1 ReplyI didn't think there were any snowflakes in Texas
-
Ever thought they want to avoid rude players like you..
-
6 RepliesI agree actually, to get to the highest light you should do endgame activities. Raids, trails, or nightfall. Also take away 3 of coins.
-
3 RepliesYou guys do not get what he is saying. He is saying. You should NOT be 400 unless you have done the Raid , or have been Flawless. He is not asking for help. Look at his Characters. He has done all the above. Just trying to clear that up
-
You see all these 400 lights running around and you invite one to raid and he ask what to do? Come on i get you have to learn but unlesss you want flawless or did raid you won't hit 400
Come back when you hit 400.
