So we can see Saladin, who is probably around 60 something, and efrideet, who seems to be in her 20s, which makes me raise the question, what is the thing with guardians and age?
When a ghost finds a guardian, are they resurrected to whatever age they were when they died? I know that Saladin and efrideet are much older than what they seem but in the same token guardians don't seem to age. Just curious how this relates is all

Three years old

I guess our guardian is as old as we want

Humans live to about 300 in they destiny universe. Guardians don't age once resurrected and are resurrected at the age they died at. I hope that clears it up dear

2 RepliesIn the beginning intro to the game they said "...human life span tripled...". Go YouTube it cause I can't remember if it said triple or doubled

1 ReplyEdited by zNapSack: 1/24/2017 4:14:12 AMIt's pure conjecture on my part, but I see it as our Guardians physical bodies not being resurrected, but rather the Ghost forging (creating) them out of Light to our specifications. Those being the sex, race and appearance we gave them in the character creation screen, prior to the scene in the Cosmodrome. At which time our Ghost infused the soul or spirit of a Guardian who once lived into that body. That could also explain why we can't really die. Although our bodies may be destroyed, but given they're forged from Light, our Ghost simply reconstructs it. A process we know as being resurrected. While typing this I had a revelation so to speak. That being could the Traveler be representative of the afterlife? That is, where our soul or spirit goes after we die? With the Ghosts (think about that) being vessels which carry souls? Yes, I'm implying the writers may have created Destiny with that abstract thought in mind. It's not obvious, nor clearly intended to be, but in my opinion it's certainly possible that religious connotations may have been part of the creative thought process, though it may not of been verbalized. And that brings up something else I've given thought to. That being, is the Light representative of good and the Darkness representative of evil? Since for centuries mankind has often seen light as being good and darkness as being evil since darkness hides what is there. Hence a fear of the dark is commonplace and always has been. I'm not claiming the Light and The Darkness are not physical manifestations in Destiny, but rather the two being historically representative of our own reality.

Centuries old zombi super soldiers held together by our ghosts

Guardians don't age so long as they have their ghost. It's most likely that guardians are revived to the age that they were at their death during the collapse (so Saladin was probably quite old already when he first died). We're not sure though if guardians do age after losing their ghost (eg. Eris Morn).

Guardians are immortal but not invincible. But I think the oldest guardians are around 4 or 5 centuries old.

I think the light is sort of like vampirism. Whatever age you are touched by it is the age you stay till you die. It easily explains away children and the elderly because if someone is too old they are useless to the light and if someone shows potential at a young age then the light would wait till they were at their maximum potential before taking them.

Since we are immortal, and re-spawn so often I'm guessing we don't age anymore (or at least VERY slowly) since we became guardians. I'm guessing by any apparent differences in age reflect either the age at which your character died, or its some pre-determined optimal age of physical development which would explain why there are no teenage or elderly guardians.

1 ReplyIdk what the guy below me is talking about but Efrideet isn't an exo, at least, there isn't any proof. Exos generally have a number beside their name, indicating memory wipes. Guardians can live a very long time. Saladin is at least 450+ years old, With Efrideet not lagging too far behind. This could be a result of the Traveler. Human lifespan was Tripled during the golden age, a person in their 70s wasn't even consider middle aged. And being blessed by the traveler's light, I think that practically makes you immortal, due to the ghost and all.

He was revived a long time ago when that SIVA thing was messing with people. With the power of the light guardian can live quite a long time
