I love to collect and I have been sitting at the cap for both weapons and armor in the vault for a long time. Bungie, please increase the amount of vault space so I can continue to save my favorite legendary armor sets and weapons.
Edit: thanks for the replys guys! I just feel like in a loot based game we should be able to keep anything we want and not be limited by the amount of space in our vault.

My vault is packed with what basically amounts to junk, yes. But what chaps my posterior is that Bungie hid behind some junk excuse about last gen holding back vault space but since they've been left behind, still no change and not even addressing the issue. Shocking nobody, I'm sure.

Edited by Snow Eater: 1/23/2017 3:00:28 PMAnti Vault space posters are weird. You might be able to play a single main with a focus on a single sub-class and make the Vault space work just fine, but if you are a person that switches up your subclass and elements on a regular basis based on the content you are facing and if you play all three slots as a main for each class and not as mules then your space gets cramped quickly. Start adding in a strong weapon representation from the various weapon types as well as the archetypes in those classes, taking into account elemental types as well as what works well in Crucibe vs PvE and again, space fills up. Finding the best rolls on Exotic Armours means you don't want to melt them and just hope for a good one to re-level from a kiosk. Weapons didn't matter as much but you still can't pull them out at 400, so you need to plan infusion fuel if you're not storing them but if you ever want to try them out and now with ornaments, even more reason to store them rather than Kiosk them. Then add in Armour pieces that give the right reload or ammo capacity bumps and again, space needs expand as you change up your game play. Maybe some players are willing to just read about the meta and use the best gear they've been told works best, but some players want to try out unexpected gear with different perks to find a new god roll meta or counter a current meta. You need space to keep things you are testing even if they turn out to be garbage later that you melt down. And this hasn't even accounted for those folks that want to hold onto a few trophy items even if they no longer "wreck" anymore. Or those folks that want a few different looks to be able to swap between. Maybe I want an Iron Banner set and a fiery Days of Iron Set and a Taken set and a faction set (maybe I want all 3 faction sets?) a set of all 100% rolled gear and a set of the best/most interesting looking pieces, a Raid Set, a Trials set... it goes on and on for those that want more options. Some of the cosmetic concerns could be eliminated with a transmog kiosk option. Regardless, expanding Vault space doesn't hurt anyone and makes for a much more enjoyable game experience for some and if Bungie really wants players to master working with a limited inventory then we need vastly improved IN GAME Inventory management options.

Lets be honest, there has been a progress in vault space since launch. At launch the vault space was a joke. Bungir has done well at making it bigger by listening to the community. Cant take away credits for that. But i will say this, im really surprised bungie didnt think ahead a little more. They shouldve made a big vault long time ago to finish this issue. Currently i think theres space for 110 items or so. In my opinion they shouldve created a vault with the capacity of at least 300 items per category. They need to think ahead. Im not saying its easy to do that but it can be done and they shouldve done it already.

I've been saying this ever since they upgraded the vault size lol
-
My vault is full as well. Sadly, I have to keep deleting things I like to make room.
-
I don't play much now in some reason due to everything is full and I don't want to make the choices and want to break down, I just avoided the issue all together and play skyrim again.
-
Edited by The Warrior: 1/24/2017 9:42:25 PMReason why I stopped playing. I can't make any progression in the game because I can't collect any more loot which is the entire purpose of the a loot and shoot game once you reach max level I'd pay for more space if it was an option, don't know why it isn't when I can pay for useless cosmetics but okay

I can't play Destiny any more because of the vault space. I'm full to the brim on weapons and armor. I even use my 2 alternate characters as storage and even then i still have no space. I haven't played Destiny in a while because there is no point. I would love to grind for leveling up factions or roles and stuff, but I don't have any space to keep anything new I get that might be good. It sucks but it's the situation for me. I love Destiny, hell I even met my girlfriend on it in crucible. But neither of us play it anymore. One of the reasons being vault space, and another being unable to EASILY play together on the same connection. I bought both of us Overwatch because we needed a new game both of us could play since Destiny is just a pain now.

Bungie could care less if you have vault space. I could have sworn they said they were going to address it after RoI dropped, but guess what...another Bungie lie No surprise there

Edited by Thr33 Nin3s: 1/23/2017 10:13:07 AMActually I can't agree more. Not one to "demand" anything from Bungie but vault space is pretty poor. In fact I've gone out and bought other games to play because of it. Have all the exotics and have a vault full of 400 gear...only way I can fit more in is deleting something else I've already grinded for....kinda defeats the purpose grinding for more.
-
Bump.
-
I can always make room for armor or weapons but like, THERE ARE SO MANY ARTIFACTS. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM ALL. Send help.
-
I'm Banshee 44 and I'm the Tower's Gunsmith. I work here with my old friend Cayde 6 and his ghost, Big Ghoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 44 resets - you never know what gun is gonna come through that door.
-
Amen brother! I've already had to make a few sacrifices. Admittedly nothing vital, but still.
-
HOW MANY TIMES MUST WE SAY THIS? THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE GAME.
-
For the ones saying that the vault is no issue, I’m a little lost by this statement as a player who is pretty ruthless with dismantling all sub-par rolls We have around 40 exotics in-game, possibly closer to 50, but not in-game to check the kiosk, so will work on 40. Of course I don’t need to hold all, but when I do want to use, why should I have to scrap earlier to free up space only to have to waste items to purchase, motes/grind to open and another weapon for LL infusion Let’s say you want a decent legendary roll on 3 different archetypes in each weapon class: 4 primary = 16 4 special = 16 2 heavy = 6 Swords = 4 Figure is already 82 (40+16+16+6+4) Then you want elemental damage because of modifiers, so triple the special and heavy figures makes 126 (40+16+48+18+4) This hasn’t even touched the fact that there are multiple weapons at archetype level in each class. Neither has the fact that PvE rolls are not the same as PvP rolls been included 108 vault and 30 guardian slots simple isn’t good enough, and opening 60 more slots on 2 more guardians is a poor way of extending the figure, especially whilst this game is shockingly bad, and by bad, I mean impossible, to move items between characters in-game The vault is very poor when you consider the grind involved acquiring and then having to weigh up what you want to play with least

People that say space isn't an issue should just delete their only character.
-
It's probably not gonna happen anytime soon, since our gear is stored on Bungie servers, they would have to invest actual money to increase their storage space for us to have virtual storage space. If they give you any other reason for not doing it, they're full of shit.
-
You're a hoarder. Delete all that shit in your vault that you never use.
-
Come on Bungu, can you throw us a bone here? I'm spending more time micromanaging my slots in character/vault than actually playing...
-
This stupid topic again. You dont have to hoard everything. Destiny 2 will be out later and then you will forget about your lil collection.
-
What I don't understand is the excuse we couldn't have vault space due to having to support the old gen consoles. What is your vault in terms of code? It is a table, with an id number for the weapon and its perks. That number is probably less than 32 characters (bytes). So, in theory, each weapon in your vault ads 32b (not kb, just bytes). There is no technical reason for for not increasing vault size (and there likely never was). You know the saying, "keep them hungry for more"? This is a mechanism to do just that, so we can never hold enough weapons to sate our desire.
-
No big deal, I'll just dismantle everything, since we have less than a year left until D2, at which point, I won't need any of it.
-
Just delete the stuff and rely on your memory like I do. I remember that raid gear set. That was cool. Good times!
