Why does "Liberal" have to Mean Blue Hair, Transgender, Homosexual, Idiot?
This is a very honest question. I politically view myself as a liberal, but still like my capitalism and small government.
I likely have more guns than any other average user on this site, (not including law enforcement officers or vets). I hunt, and drive a truck with a bumper sticker that says "shut up hippy" on it.
But despite all that, I'm still a "liberal."
I'd be lying if I said I don't get frustrated by every comment about "libs" that makes us all seem like SJWs.
I don't view all conservatives as Flat bed driving, cow raising, hicks. So why is it different the other way around?
Just an honest question, if you care to do so, go ahead and leave an honest answer.

They're sick of putting up with 8 years of bullshit from the Left. However, if more liberals really are more like you, then you guys need to be more vocal, because the loud minority of your party, like Mad Max, is what is setting the low standards and infecting the mainstream media. Trump's election was a revolution against that. In his own inaugural address, Trump addressed the vocal minority of the Conservative party, saying that we all "bleed the same red blood" and that there is "no room for prejudice" here. Liberals need people amongst their own to keep them in check as well. Honestly, I haven't heard anything like that from Obama or any left-wing liberal media, save Sanders, who I greatly respect for saying such despite having conflicting views. If people like you are true Liberals, you can't be minding your own business about it. Evil prevails when good men do nothing.

19 RepliesWe've just had 8 years where almost anyone conservative was labeled a racist/bigot. These people are resentful to say the least and you blame them. I mean it's only fairly recently that conservatives have decided to fight back and label liberals in much the same way they themselves were labeled.....and you're already tired of it. Well how about after 8 years of not only the normal folk you meet online doing this but the media backing it up at every angle? How about after a hulking violent criminal, mike brown, assaults an elderly shop keeper then attacks a cop, breaks his nose and tries to grab his gun? Ppl in the millions called him a [b]hero[/b] and the slimy democrat race card machine had his mother on stage even after he was proven to be a violent criminal. You all brought this on yourselves.

Liberal values are things like freedom of speech, personal freedoms, non-interventionism, and free information and enlightenment. These are all things that the current left staunchly opposes. Don't ever let them slide by calling themselves liberals, always correct them.
