7 skeleton keys, 1 imago loop, 6 class items! Not really a fare drop rate for weapons from these chests
Weapon drop rates from these chests is very low
When you open a chest you get either a weapon or a class item, so it should be 50 50 which drops no? Am I looking at this wrong? I ve used 11 today and gotten 1 weapon and 10 class items, and it's not just today I'm talking long term I ve gotten far more class items than weapons, maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones, and my only point is that, I'm not talking about getting God rolls ect, I'm talking purely about the drop rate

Edited by S0ULSLINGER: 2/7/2017 1:56:54 PMTry running the strike with a year 2 primary equipped... make sure it's not a hand canon... now leave all your exotics and hand canons in the vault... complete the strike and open the chest... if you have the year 2 iron banner weapons, I've found those are the best to equip... not the new iron banner weapons... this is how bungies smart loot system works... when it realizes you don't have anything good in your inventory it will drop a weapon... trust me... this also worked with faction packages before they gave you a choice...

8 RepliesI have over 4K hours between X1 & PS4 and have never got a god roll Imago Loop, Grasp of Malok, Clever Dragon, 1K Yard Stare, LDR, Longbow, Matador 64, etc. It's all stick and no carrot for most. I'm thinking about skipping Destiny 2 now that I know how much time is wasted not getting the rolls I want. I doubt this is just bad luck. Many of my friends who left went through the same thing and still tease me for thinking my luck will change.

A friend of mine has Imago Loop with Rifled Barrel, Rangefinder, and Hidden Hand. Might be the most beautiful roll I've ever seen. I was so jealous... !

I have the same problem, I've been hunting for the fatebringer role imago loop for a couple months now, and at one point I got 9 class items in a row.

You're not playing Destiny, Destiny is playing YOU. Bungie increases the drop rates of Skeleton Keys and decreases the weapon drops. In other words nothing changed.

I believe someone on reddit actually datamined the strike chests. Unless the chest Only drops a weapon You are ALWAYS guaranteed the class item/armour with the artifact and the weapon is a "possible drop" After opening nearly 100 boxes from Undying Mind I've gotten over 80+ Titan marks and only 4 imago loops. All with crap perks of course...

The first or second imago that ever dropped for me before keys came into the picture was the only one worth keeping. Truesight, Range finder, firefly, hammer forged. RNG is strong against me. [spoiler]well I got a grasp with counterbalance but I think it needs an additional stability perk to be godly[/spoiler]

At least in year 1 when you got something to finally drop it was guaranteed a good gun the way it works now people are getting burned out on this game quicker than before. I don't intentionally farm anything anymore I just mess around because I can't take the game seriously anymore. I forgot to add that I've never got this many marks or gauntlets until after the skeleton key buffed drop rate. Working as intended? Probably, according to bungie. I don't mind grinding AT ALL but it has to be worth it there are too many useless perks in the gun rolls now that need to be deleted. They need the memory anyway the way things disappear in this game the memory is too full with useless things.

6 RepliesThe drop rate is 50/50. It's RNG which drop you'll get. You could go a whole year without getting Imago Loop. :)

1 ReplyI ran a total of 5 undying mind and omnigal strikes a week ago and not only I didn't get a weapon to drop but only twice was the class item even for the character I was playing. Good job Bungie!
