If I deactivate an ornament do I lose them?

If you deactivate the ornament on equipment you have, it remains on that piece of equipment and can be reactivated for free at will. You can turn it on or off. Just keep in mind that turning it off doesn't give it back, it still stays on that piece of equipment. If you dismantle or infuse that into something else, the ornament disappears along with it.
