Glitch on Shadow Thief Strike?
Hey all
So I've had a repeated issue with the Shadow Thief strike as part of the House of Wolves quest line. I received the quest to kill Taniks and joined a fireteam to run the strike with. I ended up joining in the middle of the strike and at the end Variks came over the speaker essentially saying I had completed the quest. Awesome. SO, then I go to orbit. Quest marker is still active over Shadow Thief strike. Figured it was maybe because I joined part way through so I ran it again. And again. And again. I've run it 4 times, I've shut the Xbox off and rebooted, I've even made sure to get the killing blow myself, I've checked with the quest giver to see if I have new dialogue, but nothing works!
Would love to get some help with this. What should I do? Stuck in the story line and very frustrated at this point.

You must run it at 320 light

Make sure that you play the strike at 320 which is what I recommend when doing an bounty, its more a of way of making sure that it really is the game.

You have this quest. >>>This quest is NOT part of the House of Wolves questline<<<. This quest is the one that's causing the quest marker to appear over the Shadow Thief strike. As was stated in a reply below, you need to do 320 version for this quest. The quest does not tell you this, this is a Bungie hiccup in their wording. You must complete the harder version for that quest. This quest is not a low-level quest, it's a higher level quest intended for higher-light. Until you can complete this quest OR until you abandon this quest, the quest marker will be over Shadow Thief.

3 RepliesThe quest you have active requires you to complete the higher difficulty (light 320) version of the strike.

If you are talking about the quest from Zavala, you have to do the heroic version of the strike, Taniks Perfected, in order to complete the quest.
