Why siva has consume~enhance~replicate
So it just occurred to me that we don't really know why siva has those orders. The last person in control was Rasputin and the fallen just barely know how to use it. So my theory is that Rasputin told it to after molders bomb to rebuild the replication chamber. I don't really know why he did this though. Maybe it's his protocol. So anyway the pro game matches up as so:
Consume-absorb any and all destroyed matter and equipment.
Enhance-fix it or improve on it
Replicate-repeat

You're wrong on the last one, replicate means to use what they took to build more of themselves. Their protocol is similar to that of the grey Goo apocalypse scenario where nanonbots replicate at a rate in which they would take up the entire earths mass in a matter of weeks.

This is the order than Aksis, as the mind that controls SIVA, gave it. We see the result of the first command all throughout the Cosmodrome—SIVA is slowly consuming everything. We see the result of the second command in the Fallen. Their technology has been improved, and then their bodies themselves, as it is introduced to SIVA. We see the result of the last command deep in Site 6. The Replication Chamber is still active, and as such, is still churning out more and more SIVA nanites. That is, until we shut the chamber down once and for all. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Devil Splicers used their remaining SIVA to build a new Replication Chamber.

5 RepliesRasputin gave it that directive. Remember when the iron lords tried to destroy SIVA, and Rasputin attacked? Not only did he send down frames and constructs, but he gave SIVA that directive, and it's kept it since. Without Rasputin's directive, SIVA wouldn't have retaliated when the Iron Lords reached the replication chamber, but instead, SIVA had been told to CONSUME~ENHANCE~REPLICATE, so it was able to destroy the Iron Lords. Except Saladin and Efrideet.

Because it is a self replicating nanotech. Consume~Enhance~Replicate It's programming is to probably improve everything. So how do you do that? Let's evaluate the steps involved. Consume The evaluations stage. Take in. See if it's already perfect or in need of improving. Enhance. The improvement stage, this is where it is perfected. Replicate. The production stage. Where it is built over and over to spread the perfection. Pretty basic and is sorta how we work.

6 RepliesIf you read the SIVA grimoires, specifically the Iron Lord section, you will see that ~Consume Enhance Replicate~ was the command he gave them. This command makes SIVA consume anything in its path, improve it to meet its own needs, and then replicate itself to make more SIVA and continue to spread. It seems as if Rasputin never made SIVA end that protocol after the Iron Lords were defeated, and maybe it just waited in the Replication Chamber for its next chance to continue that protocol. I believe it is using this protocol because the Consume and Enhance parts are the directives that give it the permission to defeat enemy organisms Consume- take over all encountered matter and break down into usable matter Enhance- use the matter broken down to enhance the object broken down in the previous step Replicate- use enhanced object and leftover usable matter to create more SIVA and spread to next object. 1 ReplyConsume, Enhance, Replicate are just SIVA's Code or directive or whatever to me. Consume to gain material, enhance capabilities of a construction, replicate creations. Seems like the original exodus designers would've had something like that.
