I understand PC gamers may want to try exclusives, so they might use an adapter, but in multi-player it is an extremely unfair advantage. Microsoft and even Sony are completely fine with this.
I vote no, hell no. I played Overwatch earlier with a Pharah who was using one, and it was obvious in her various killcams.
You know the jerky flick where you aim over an enemy but quickly aim back to correct yourself? Not something you see with controllers.
Edit: Never before have I seen a poll so balanced without trying.

I love your tears. Don't like others using mouse + keyboard? Your options are buy a modded controller for closer balance, buy yourself a keyboard and mouse, or leave and go cry somewhere else.
-
2 RepliesI know so. Personally I have never liked mouse and keyboard. Hell even on my various gaming PCs throughout the years I always preferred using my controller in games when I could. If you are worried about it being "unfair" then you can just buy a keyboard and mouse yourself. That simple. All it is is a alternative control scheme for people that prefer it. More options is always better.
-
2 RepliesHave you ever missed clicking something with a mouse? Cuz that's all you do on a controller. Why would you be against having better aim? You handicap yourself with a controller. I really want a xim4
-
6 RepliesTechnically, the Xbox One does have full M&K support but no game has used it yet. I think that games like Halo Wars or single player only games should use it. It would add more options for the players. Hell, Civ could be on console if they used it. Back to the point, the should not be allowed in MP games because it gives an unfair advantage to the player using the M&K. How was this Pharah using an M&K? Third party something or other sending controller control signals to the box?
-
1 ReplyFor now I say no because there's no official support yet, even though you can. however that's supposed to change. Xbox will be eventually supporting all keyboards and mice so when that happens it's fair game because everyone has access to it.
-
It's available to everyone so I think it's okay. It isn't cheating if the devs support it.
-
Only fggts like ShesMyNerd use mouse and keyboard on consoles.
-
12 RepliesIt should not be allowed at all it is cheating if it wasn't a clear advantage none of these turds would want to use it hence why you don't here people use them in a racing game or fighting games wear they don't offer an advantage
-
I wasn't aware shooter games were meant to be played on anything other than mnk
-
It IS unfair but you can't really stop people from doing it.
-
3 RepliesObviously not. M+KB destroys controllers every time.
I played Overwatch earlier with a Pharah who was using one, and it was obvious in her various killcams.
I thought console games didn't allow full KB+M support? Only in things like menus.
-
I don't see why not.
-
I mean, there's a reason blizzard treats overwatch on pc and console as different games with balance patches..
-
2 RepliesThe real problem nowadays lies with modded controllers.
-
I think it would be okay as long as the devs figured out a way to handicap the mouse and keyboard controls to balance things out. For example, you know how console shooters have bullet magnetism? Mouse and keyboard players on console should experience the opposite: Bullet repel.
I'm sorry. I've been drinking on this fine night. Just ignore the above and let the river flow.
Mouse and keyboard is too OP.
-
in a faced paced chaotic game with minimal aim assist like overwatch, yes. in a game like destiny, halo, or call of duty, no. its a preference thing. and no controller player can say m&k takes no skill because i guarantee you if you gave a controller player and mouse and a keyboard and told them to play normally, they wouldn't be able to.
-
2 RepliesOnly idiots would say that more options are bad..
-
1 ReplyYes, just not in ranked play. Honestly though, unless you find someone that's highly skilled with KB/M, the gap between the two really isn't that big.
-
8 RepliesEdited by Show me potato salad: 1/12/2017 10:36:36 PMI definitely don't think they should be allowed. Consoles have aim assist to compensate for the fact that you don't have a keyboard and mouse to have the full control it gives you. But when you use an adapter to use a mouse on a console game, you get the extra control, and the aim assist. It gives you a huge advantage over anyone else.
-
Too unfair
-
Yeah. The keyboard and mouse stuff is 1. Technically just a different control input. If you're better, you can beat a keyboard and mouse guy using controller. 2. Most console keyboard and mouse things suck and don't work well anyway
-
15 RepliesI am not a PC player so don't know. But how does using a mouse and controller make someone a better player over controller user?
-
Sure, but they cannot turn off aim assist.
-
1 ReplyOnly if aim assist is strengthened and they have no way to turn it off or negate it.
-
Well... I mean it is available to all people, and some people have never played on console/haven't played in a while so they're a little rusty. I totally understand the whole "they give people an advantage over others",but what about special controllers that are modded/improved to give an advantage? Nobody really cares about those, from what i've heard.
