But not in the way you would expect, i personally find the range to be fine, but its should lunge for risk, but id be fine if they dont change it. As long as gunplay is improved with proper buffs
The problem is that you literally can hit a target without even looking at them
When slaping fellow forum user Tfl Washington we decided to test how broken that slap actually

This is simply not ok, and should be fixed

5 Repliesyou do realize that most titan melees One hit KO warlocks. Hunters have mobility that a warlock can't match. the magnetic abilities of the stormcaller melee are one of the only things it has going on. shutting down a stormcaller takes very little effort. their grenades are sub par. the melee is right where it needs to be.

28 RepliesEdited by AGORIGINAL: 1/16/2017 4:17:53 PMWhy don't you whine about a real broken mallee like backstab killing from the front...... Oh wait is it because you main is a hunter that you don't.......

4 RepliesAs much as I disagree and hate nerfs at this point, I do have to agree. I will, however, follow my own advice and leave the actual valid opinions, discussions, and arguments to the people that have the experience on Warlocks to back it up. This is simply my own opinion. And yes, I know and acknowledge it's completely invalid.

6 RepliesI believe the fact is the "homing"/"aim assist" melee attacks have to do with when the target was registered within the crosshairs of your character + the button press. In the case of Stormcaller, it is a ranged attack. A spell at that. Not a thrown object. So it is easier to hit. Also unlike Throwing Knife it can be cast from a closer range. I admit the aim assist is funky, but I've come to see it as a game registering mechanic. If ___ is in my melee crosshairs when I hit R1, then the game registers it as a clean hit. Timing is everything.
-
I played stormcaller and couldn't do that, guess I'm unlucky
-
2 RepliesHA! Try that on a Titan and it'll take years to even register.
-
2 RepliesI think th range would be ok, if you had to aim it. But the aim assisst especially on stormcaller is stupid ...
-
1 ReplyWow! That's ridiculous. Great job providing the video evidence.

1 ReplyEdited by Megumeow: 1/12/2017 12:47:28 AMI agree, I'm a warlock main and the aim assist has gotten me to lose more battles than win. To be more specific when you half health an opponent and they're in Melee range but so is another opponent so it decides to aim "assist" you into the other person. As for the range I'm fine with it.
-
5 RepliesAs much as it pains me to say it, that shouldn't be happening, the guy should have to be in your field of view to be able to hit him with your melee.
-
1 ReplyAnd people complain about the hit box in Throwing Knives, smh. I can't understand how people can defend something this broken. If you don't even have to aim your melee that much, how would you ever lose a shotgun battle as a Storm Caller?
-
2 RepliesI knew it was bad, but didn't think it was THAT bad. And with this bs, they nerf throwing knives..... #bungie logic
-
1 ReplyI actually think it's acceptable, for gods sake it's lightening coming from your hands. What's wrong with having extraordinary abilities in a game set after a golden age of technology and space magic? Most of you won't agree with me because you are so high on the sodium scale you float in water.
-
1 ReplyIf I melee, It should automatically kill the person closest to me, no matter how far away they are
-
15 RepliesBuff it.
-
1 ReplyMost charged melee' shave tracking on them. They have been that way since beta. In all honesty it is not a super big deal. There is a greater chance at getting taken to town before you get that melee off.
-
7 RepliesIt's f*cking Lightning bro, maybe you should use plastic weapons
-
16 RepliesThis again.
-
4 RepliesYeah, I don't like the magnetic qualities of the Warlock melee. You pretty much can't miss if you're in range.
-
-
They won't just nerf the tracking on it, they will nerf everything that make it..it
-
1 Replythe melee i could care less for but...
don't tell him...I'd like to see more videos of you slapping the crap out of tfl
-
2 RepliesDude, check the damage, and the speed of the melee. Also, make sure you look at every other melee in the game. Warlocks melee is strong yes, but hunters have insane speed and titans have one shot melees. If we're going to nerf one melee, we're nerfing them all. And also, I've been playing warlock since year one, let me tell you. The melee is no where near as lenient as you are making it out to be.
-
3 RepliesYes nerf my sunsinger more, I don't wanna use it anyway
-
3 RepliesDang you turned into a nerf herder ever since I came back
-
4 RepliesCan't all melee hit outside of your FoV/reticle to an extent? I wouldn't be surprised considering that this FoV is godawful.
