Anyone want to remind me what Surrounded does again as a perk?
Wasn't it to replace shot package on shotguns and it appears to be on most primaries including fast rate of fire pulses and hand cannons.
I never really understood this perk and I always assumed most weapons who have this perk is usually trash or not worth the perk slot.
Anyone want to keep me informed about this perk?

So after doing exhaustive testing what I was able to conclude that it's an alert to tell you when you are about to die but not with enough notice to do anything about it.

3 RepliesIt wastes a perk slot. To legit answer you... It gives you a damage buff when you have 3 or more enemies in VERY close proximity (basically melee range.). However if you are that surrounded...you're either... A. Having a bad time. B. About to die.

If you have 3 or more enemies in warlock thundersnipe range it buffs the damage of your weapon by 5%. Because that 5% is going to win gunfights. Absolutely not sarcasm. Absolutely not.

It uses up a perk slot so that it looks like your getting something there when you actually aren't.

It is a PvE perk, yes there is more to the game than Crucible. I have it on a Eyaluna that I use in the Raid mostly Vosik phase 2 and the perk is active most of the time. I think it gives a 5% dmg bonus, which may not seem like much but when you are going balls to the wall controlling adds every little bit helps.

Other than instant dismantling of said weapon, It's an outside chance that you could use it with a Defender Titan with Armor of Light. Maybe.

A worthless perk they could never been designed far better. I mean come on, you have to be in proximity to 3 enemies for it to activate, and the best it can do is give you a shitty damage increase? It might as well have a white flag pop out of your gun when you pull the trigger, because that shit isn't gonna help you against 3+ enemies.

I'm thinking it's mainly a PVE perk. Absolutely useless in PVP. Have it on my almost perfect Party Crasher. Saw that as the last perk. Wanted to cry. That, exhumed and partial refund...no idea what these perks are in the game. Oh right...it's so RNG can troll those of us with terrible luck.
