I really think dual wielding would be a great idea for the next update.

It would be cool, but it'd be really hard to balance dual-wield weapons for PvP so that they're effective without being TOO effective. Close-range encounters in Destiny is a messy matter with the reign of shotguns. Dual swords are innocent enough, though.

how about a dual wield sidearm... i mean the not aiming would balance the insanely low ttk.

2 RepliesGuns: yes, but only specific weapons that are built for it (new gun type) Swords: no, would probably be a sudden increase of edgelord hunters/warlocks wearing all black thinking they are kirito. no one needs that.
-
How about they balance what they have first
-
Unless the weapons appeared in pairs like its done it Warframe, it could be done. I just think it would need to be fine tuned so it doesn't become game breaking or just something that isn't used. As far as swords are concerned, I think its better leaving them as heavy weapons. If they added melee weapons, they would have to do it in such a way that it doesn't become like Warframe.

1 Reply-The swords would have to be shorter to compensate. Which means shorter reach and less damage. -But that would be amazing you could attack faster and cause serious damage up close to any enemy. -Do you think the twin short swords should have a shield though? -An exotic version could have a movement speed and agility increase higher than Mida's but at the cost of dealing even less damage than the standard short twin swords.

Horrible idea
-
F*ck yeah ! That would be sick AF

Dual wielding is a good idea bro but I say to Bungie add and artifact that gives us a robot companion that allows us to quadruple wield certain weapons.
-
Why? So we could enjoy it for a week only for that to get nerfed?
-
I would kill for an exotic twinblade sword

Edited by Glitchoid: 1/3/2017 11:07:02 PMThey would have to implement a "fire rate" for the differences in swords, which could actually break the original design. You cant swing two two-handed blades fast, but seeing as swords are a heavy in general I wouldn't see anyone chasing any dual weilded forms for PvP,let alone PVE vrs their heavy handed exotics. As for guns, only two types should be dual,Hand cannons and sidearms. Fire right to left, doubled reload sounds aweful tho...unless you have the guns firing exactly at the same time, even then we come back to reload speeds.

Swords would be kind of a mess but guns, yes.

Yes! I want dual wield my Queens Choice sidearms!
