My cat is dying.

I've had him for 14 years, and he hasn't acted a day older. But I woke up today, and my cat was missing. He was still there, and he was still breathing. But my cat wasn't there. He doesn't respond when you call his name, and he doesn't eat. He barely moves and endlessly stares at the wall. He's had problems since he was little, and I'm suspecting it's gonna be kidney failure. Thanks for reading, I just needed somewhere to talk about it. Edit: He has resumed drinking water. Still having trouble getting him to eat. Edit 2: He is cleaning himself, eating and drinking now. But he is still attached to his bed, as he is very weak.

 • Listen, I'd take him to the vet as soon as possible. If he can't be helped its better not to let it suffer, I had a cat who had a perforated stomach and cancer in his lungs. He couldn't eat and was in ICU for three weeks before we decided it was time. Before that it was about a week before we even took him to the vet, even longer because they didn't know the problem. Weeks of suffering for that poor cat, and he was gone mentally for the last few days anyway... Im never making that mistake again for my other cat, and you shouldn't make it either.
