I just finished maxing my Defender today and decided to make a few edits with suprising results!
I recently decided to try and swap out my beloved Void armor Armamentarium, for the ACD/0 Feedback Fence, while it is sad to lose that extra nade, I make do in improving my melee game by a ton, in pvp I also use the perks that improve force barrier (Relentless, Unbreakable). On top of that, I started using Monte Carlo again, and I find that thanks to its perk Monte Carlo Method, I always have a Melee charge, plus the damage from the gauntlets, shocks enemy gaurdians because they have no idea what happened, and I end up getting another punch off. Feedback Fence seems to be the better choice so far.
What do you guys think ? What are your Defender pvp and/or pve builds + Preferred Exotic weapons, armor ?

This is just my build, but I find it works pretty well and is quite fun to use. Subclass: Magnetic Grenade Lift w/ Increased Control Blessing of Light Disintegrate w/ War Machine Titan Codex I Bastion Titan Codex V Untouchable Weapons: Angel's Advocate w/ Explosive Rounds (The other perks can be interchanged as pleased, although Take a Knee is a preferable perk.) Long Far Gone (Perks don't matter as much here.) Abbadon w/ Linear Compensator and Perfect Balance Armour of Importance: Ruin Wings w/ Increase Intellect, Impact Induction, and Machine Gun Loader. Iron Breed Greaves w/ Increase Intellect, Machine Gun Ammo and Capture King. Memory of Perun. Whenever possible, increase Intellect so you can pop Ward of Dawn as often as possible. I find this loadout is good for Control in Crucible, as the combined Ward of Dawn and Capture King perk work well with that game mode. In PvE, Ruin Wings with the Machine Gun Loader perk and Iron Breed Greaves with Machine Gun Ammo perk allow you to make good use of Abbadon especially due to the increase in Heavy Ammo drops (because of Ruin Wings.) Magnetic Grenades allow for easy kills, and the reload speed from War Machine is amazing for PvE and PvP. Angel's Advocate is an all-round good Scout Rifle, and Long Far Gone is a good Fusion Rifle in my opinion.

Ruin Wings Helm with "heavy lifting" or "inverse shadow". "Second thoughts" if you use Telesto Blessing of Light if using Raze Lighter Weapons of Light if using heavy machine gun Iron Harvest perk. Orbs for days. Just a fun strike build

I use armemantarium and suppressor grenades, with the fast reload force barrier, unbreakable, and a scout or pulse for ranged combat. I use a high range last ditch or my ironwreath d for close combat. No better feeling than suppressing a super and taking them down with a shotty

1 ReplyOkay, so I've played Titan exclusively since release and defender is my favourite class. Really your defender build depends on what you want to do or the role you want to play. Classic pve build uses one of the super charging exotic primaries (bad juju or zhalo) to build super fast with the purpose of using helm of saint-14 to blind enemies. Makes some encounters trivial really and has excellent utility. Alternatively you can run a variant with the glasshouse looking to keep your team buffed with armor or weapons of light. Really though my favourite pve builds centre around using no backup plans max strength and regenerating shields. I like being in Melee range so I tend to opt for an exotic shotgun in these encounters. Just remember that force barrier and blessings don't stack so run weapons or armor. If you feel like supporting the team more add in iron harvest to your build and the bolt caster to generate stupid amounts of orbs for your team. A very niche build I run from time to time aims to make you basically unkillable in pve by stacking armor. Spec for max armor including chest piece, then utilise Boolean Gemini to build +3 stacks of armor. Add in no backup plans with regen shield and max strength and you can basically just laugh in aliens faces whilst they blast you. It's complicated to keep up but very strong. I'll have a ponder on pvp builds and report back. I can only really think of a no backup plans build aimed at keeping overshield up + Monte Carlo just in case. You can go full support with the glasshouse if you want to be a team player. Alternatively mix weapons of Light with a high powered sniper to land one shot body kills and make people salty.
