Recently my controller has started to drift upwards. Not much but enough for to move character and very hard to navigate menus like Overwatch

1 ReplyAll of my controllers have had something wrong with them after awhile. Hell, I've been through countless ps2 controllers though so I'm not surprised. So far, about 4 months in my Xbox one s controller still works perfectly. Either try and get a replacement through warrantee or buy a new one.

Mine drifts a bit to the left. Nothing major, but it can get annoying when trying to play games that require a bit more precision.

5 RepliesThis has just started happening to my elite controller :'(

2 RepliesJust pull the face plate off and remove the toggle. There is probably some cheeto dust and sweat in there like mine had.

Mine accidentally fell off my chair face down on the sticks and it started to drift, so I looked up a YouTube video and it told me to use rubbing alcohol and a q tip and wipe the sticks base and let it evaporate and to do this three times, it actually worked. It occasionally will start to drift again but I just use the rubbing alcohol again and it goes back to normal

It happens with these new controllers. They're pretty sensitive.

How long have you had your controller? Same thing happened to me recently with a controller that came with my Xbox in 2014. I just went ahead and got a new one. I've heard this isn't an issue with the newer Xbox controllers. Anyways, this method actually worked for me for some time. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eqHJFEnbZLQlink

Try fixing it yourself, or bite the bullet and get a new one
-
Yep. Both my controller sticks do that to the left. Long lasting these controllers are not.

Unfortunately , unless you're technically inclined , it will stay that way. I took ,one apart multiple times and cleaned all the spots with alcohol which fixed it for a couple weeks but it always went back. Just had to bite the bullet and get a new one.

Edited by Macgyver: 12/29/2016 8:20:07 PMFind the joy stick component online, and repair it yourself. You should be able to find everything you need online. Like parts, how to videos, and anything else you might want... Like chrome shoulder buttons, and what not. If you're willing to put the time into it, it'll be worth it. It'll be cheaper, and you won't have to throw the controller away, or get ripped off trying to sell it. Keep in mind that when you find the part, it might have to come from China, and that may take a while. I fixed my old 360's power supply like this, and it's still working. 😀 Good luck buddy. Feel free to message me if you need any help.

it happened to me and i just got a new one.

3 RepliesPut your mouth over the stick and blow on it. No, I'm not being cheeky. My dpad was malfunctioning for the longest of time, finally got annoyed with it enough to actually look something up and found a thread on reddit where someone mentioned that. I thought they were trolling at first, but then I figured I may as well try it. Worked for my dpad, buttons and stick.

8 RepliesGet a new one. Its happened to me multiple times. It's just from them getting old ive had them go away for awhile but only for it to come back and never go away
-
I had this happen after I dropped my controller onto the carpet. You can google a way to fix it, but I ended up just buying a new one and trading the broken one in to GameStop.

1 ReplyIf it's hard to move menus then it must be pretty bad.
