So I drew the Burning Eye Mask (ToO Hunter Helmet) with some pencils. Here's my previous drawing: http://imgur.com/duIAt7K.jpg
Feedback is appreciated and suggestions are welcome!
Edit: would like to call out [removed] for insulting my drawing, getting called out then editing it to say excellent. Gg m8

5 RepliesMight be too much work but maybe you should make a speed drawing of a helmet and aumbit for MOTW sure you would win! Rwally good job though!

This is the best one by far amazing job

2 RepliesNow, I know I can draw like you can, but... I'm lazy.
I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
Nice sketch man! Just remember the haters had nothing better to do but complain about what you found fun. They prolly are the whiners who ask for nerfs because they can't adapt. Head high and onto your next pic!

Looks awesome! Don't listen to the haters.

Good stuff, man. You're coming along with the shading and linework. I do notice some things that I used to do that could be improved. 1. Instead of short dashing to make lines try using your body more to develop your lines. Focus on moving your hand, wrist, and forearm to achieve the desired result. This is forming your hand skills rather than drawing or creative skills. It will improve the overall piece and give it cleaner look. 2. Vary your line weight. Push and pull the pencil away from the paper. This will create depth, improve lines, and gain more value. 3. While working on the previous two you can change how you shade to give it a polished look by shading the same way in certain or all areas. Shading diagonally on the cloak, then vertically for the helm, and horizontally for the neck area for instance. Take a look at pro comic artists sketches online and you'll see what I'm talking about. Simple and easy thing to do and it'll make people want your sketch even before you finish the whole thing. These are just a few things I've learned over the years through practice, observation, and schooling. Hope this helps. If you're this good when you're young you'll definitely be amazing when you're older.

Only thing I would recommend is using a stump to blend your shading. The contours are pretty good. Good job on the drawing.

4 RepliesLong way to go there bud. Judging by your signature you're still young tho so that's fine. Work with contrasts a lot more is my recommendation, and use less negative space. Your drawings are too empty. You glance at it and you've seen what little there is to look at. The armor in destiny has a lot of detail and you can add even more to them in terms of wear and tear. Keep at it!

1 ReplyI honestly don't like that mask, but the drawing came out awesome regardless!
