Golden Gun is known to dish out massive damage-yet it can't take a lot pf damage or it dies. This is known as a glasscannon in most gamers' eyes. A golden gun is viable at medium to medium-long range(between medium and long range) yet it is still able to be used up close. Here is why it is a glass cannon;

Well since it's probably the best super at cancelling other supers, it was bound to have a downside. Its being it gets no bonus health. So what ever can 1 shot a normal player, 1 shots a golden gun.

8 RepliesOut of 64 FarCog tournament teams there was 1, yes ONE player playing as a GoldenGun, (ME). The super isnt the problem though, the perks on the subclass are the weakest in the game, plus the only Solar subclass that doesnt have stickies and doesnt get an exotic for 2 of them LOL. Throwing Knifes and Tripmines were nerfed with no justifiable reasoning, and Bungie then buffed all other classes. They are clueless about balance of either guns or subclasses.. hell they think Smoke should damage you, slow you down, and turn off your hud.. a throwing knife that has to actually hit someone? Lol it tickles

3 RepliesWhy do people have such a problem with golden gun? Its 3 free kills, it always has been. You don't even have to shoot them to get the kill, the aim assist is off the charts. Unless you gets supered out of it, you just suck.

Because it's a glass cannon. The super for Gunslinger is fine, the neutral game is all that needs work (make Tripmines stick, keep the damage nerf, and reverse the Throwing Knife damage nerf. You're welcome to tone down the DoT though).

12 Repliestl;dr Golden Gun and Gunslinger is fine where it is, just maybe allow it (if possible) to go through juggernaut if you have key hole, and juggernaut is fine where it is as well. The reason golden gun is so strong is that no person on their own, no matter what defensive benefits they may have, can survive. This means that golden gun, 1v1, will almost always win. The hitbox and aim assist on it is so high (not that I think that there is anything wrong with that), it can kill from almost any distance on any map (it's been tested), it is hitscan, so there is no dodging it like with nightstalker, sun breaker, or even nova bomb from time to time, and it retains complete accuracy while hip firing (no-scoping) AND while in the air. All of this makes it an incredibly difficult, nigh impossible super to counter, save when you catch them off guard, or they miss 3 bullets in a row. This includes supers, which cannot counter golden gun in a 1v1 no matter the circumstance if they can see you. Gunslinger is currently very balanced, and is still a good class (stats support this statement as well) If any changes were to happen, I would suggest this regarding how gunslinger should be tweaked: If you buff gunslinger neutral game, then you must also nerf the super game, and vice versa. Regarding Juggernaut, here is what I think. Juggernaut is treated as a separate entity, hence why it tanks what it does. I am unsure if it could be changed so that golden gun (with keyhole only!) could go through it, but if it can, sure. Here is the thing though: Without basically removing the entire perk, there is no way for bungie to change the juggernaut shield from acting as a separate entity. Consider the following: Juggernaut has about 110 health, but can tank more than that if consolidated into one blow, hence being able to tank golden gun. Because it is treated as a separate entity, it could only be changed so that armor piercing rounds and keyhole could go through it. If someone decided to remove its ability to act as a separate entity, then you would have to incorporate it into the titans health, which would force you to have the shield going all around you: Imagine that, a force barrier or flame shield that goes all around, that can be acquired just by running. With all of this in mind, this is why I think Juggernaut is fine where it is, aside from golden gun which might hopefully be changed. If you want some counters to juggernaut, might I suggest: 1) Using a hand cannon, or The Last Word, both of which require only 2 bodyshots to pop the shield, where you can then shoot the exposed titan with a shotgun or fusion rifle as they bum rush you. 2) Using vertical space to your advantage. The titan has to keep the shield facing you for it to be effective, and this is harder to do when you are right above them. 3) If you want to counter using a shotgun, don't just shoot them right as they close in. Bear in mind the fact that they can't shoot while the shield is up, and the titan will frequently have the reflex to aim down sight, giving you an opportunity to kill them while the shield is down.

Sunbreaker kills all of those in 1 Hammer but with: More mobility Twice as much health AoE damage Tracking on the hammers 3rd person view Heals for every kill All in all Hammer of Sol is better in everything other than range. Also the Sunbreaker's neutral game is better in every way than Gunslinger's.

1 ReplyI've seen someone complain about a sniper one shotting a super saying "a guardian that can be engulfed in flames and sustain damage from it shouldn't be killed by a sniper bullet". So why shouldn't a golden gun with keyhole not be able to penetrate a jugg shield?

Allow Key Hole with the Juggernaut shield but not the defender bubble. The only thing that class has going for it is the protection (for the average player)
