Which generation of Pokemon is your favorite?

Gen I - Red, Blue, Yellow

31

Gen II - Gold, Silver, Crystal

22

Gen III - Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald

42

Gen IV - Diamond, Pearl, Platinum

32

Gen V - Black, White and their sequels

10

Gen VI - X, Y

3

Gen VII - Sun, Moon

10

Personally I'm a big fan of Gen III. Emerald was, and still is, my favorite of the franchise. The designs and the story(lol) really spoke to me more, and spawned my favorite starter: Torchic. Which is your favorite and why?

Which is your favorite and why?
A lot of my favourite Pokemon come from Gen 5 such as Hydreigon, Darmanitan and Bisharp. However in my own personal opinion, Gen 4 (DPP) has the best region, the best champion and some of the coolest legendaries both lore-wise and design-wise. Plus, I have some serious nostalgia moments towards Pokemon Pearl being the first Pokemon game I ever fully finished and gathered a competitive team. As well as that, Soulsilver and Heartgold were FANTASTIC remakes; incorporating everything that made the originals great with the addition of the updated roster and balance patches that came with later games. Both of these make it on of, if not the most complete Pokemon games in the series.

Always liked having a Sceptile as my main for Emerald. God, do I miss the GBA and Gamecube days. Nothing was better than getting hooked up to one of the Coliseum games and trading/battling. The 100-battle challenge to get the region starters was great for grinding. By the time I finally purified Lugia its level was maxed out. I will admit that it was also pretty neat to see this brought forward with the DS games and Battle Revolution. I hated the Casino/roulette picker stage. though. That was an absolute pain.

            • Gen 3, 4, and 6 weren't that great, honestly gen 1 wasn't super good either but it started it all, gen 2 improved the most and 5 had a good story and improved a decent amount

Honestly the first since it what got me into Pokemon in the first place. No game since will I ever get that awesome sense of adventure I had when I first played red and blue.
This doesn't have anything to do with Pokemon, but do people remember dragon warrior monsters? I played that much more than any Pokemon game. Lol
• I gotta go with gen 1. I still remember the first time I played red, I was flat out broke buying ultra balls to catch zapdos and all 70 of them missed. Then I used my normal pokeballs and I had 3 left and caught him with my second remaining pokeball.
