Half Life 2: Episode 1 "One Free Bullet" Achievement
I'm taking a shot at the one bullet achievement (I just love to do achievements that are ridiculously annoying). In the part at the beginning where you're shutting off the big machine (right vbefore you lose the blue Gravity Gun), is it considered a bullet to kill stalkers with those energy balls? Or does that only ruin pacifist?

are you serious, that achivemnet wasn't hard at all since it is probably the shortest episode, my tip is to use rockets for persision shooting if you are near an amo crate, its fairly easy, the only trouble I had was in the toxic tunnel, the zombies kept on breaking my crates >:( you'll get it in no time.

what is awesome is trasporting this over to other games. I did halo 3 without vehicles (except where vehicles are necessary, and even then only roadkills and hornet missiles were used) and only using melee nades missile pod Rocket launcher bruteshot hammer sword flamethrower equipment (no auto turret) any form of explosive fuel rod cannon. no bullets or battery

The only bullet you should fire is the one to break the lock that you can't crowbar open. As the achievement states, Gravity Gun kills are ok, Crowbar kills are ok, Rockets are ok, and Grenades are ok. I'm not sure about the grenade attachment on the SMG. [Edited on 05.29.2010 4:26 PM PDT]

that just ruins pacifist. The only bullet you can fire is when you first get the pistol and shotgun, you must use the shotgun on a lock that the GG can't break. fine- Gravity gun, physics objects, Advanced gravity gun, rocket launchers, crowbar, enviromental hazards, explosions, grenades, hopper mines, manhacks. not fine- smg, turret emplacement, pistol, magnum, shotgun, combine AR, crossbow. not sure- combine AR secondary fire, SMG Grenade.

Damn, it's been over a year since a last played the Orange Box, I even got [i]all[/i] the achievements for Half Life 2, Ep. 1, and Ep.2. You should be fine OP, just make sure you don't fire a stray bullet somewhere and you'll get that achievement.

There are cheat codes for Xbox Orange Box Y, B, A, X, RB, Y, X, A, B, RB (press the buttons in a circle) It gives you Max (not infinite) Ammo I used mostly the rocket launcher, and got the acheivment [Edited on 05.29.2010 4:22 PM PDT]
