Solid 250MBPS connection: Contacting Destiny Servers; WEASEL, WEASEL, WEASEL
Any suggestions on what to fix?
I'm patched in with an ethernet cable, opened all recommended ports for PS4, and even dedicated an ip address solely for my ps4.

Download speed is almost meaningless. What is your ping? Are you wireless?

2 RepliesI have 55 down 5.5 up 0 packet lose But when playing destiny it drops down load to 19 mbs Often Nothing else causes this issue ( network system is squared away good ) Just destiny Y bungie

Mbps doesnt matter in this case. For each player in your pvp match you may exchange about 110kbps (roughly 1000 kbps = 1mbps) so even in a big 6x6 game you probably actually use a little less than 1.5 mbps. Picture it like your internet is a hose. A hose that has more width or is bigger around can fit a lot more water through it at one time (this is your mbps or bandwidth) but if you wanted to measure how quickly the water can make it from the faucet on the wall to the other end of the hose that would be like your latency. Satellite internet for example has an average of 600ms of latency which is equivalent to more than a half of a second. You can get a steady flow of data coming in at 10mbps but that data was sent from the source over half a second ago and the data took time to go out into space and then back down to you on earth. During that half a second someone could have jumped, ducked, or moved and from your perspective they will appear to just 'teleport' to the new location once your playstation finally receives that delayed notification that they moved. Most peoples internet stays on the planet so our latency with cable, dsl, fiber, dial up, etc are better than satellite but you still have some latency because it takes time for the packets of data to travel from your playstation to your router, then from your router it gets bounced around and redirected through multiple hops that look like a giant spider web of connections between your internet service provider, the network service provider they use, which then connects to the network service provider the other players ISP uses, and then their internet service provider, then to their router, and then to their playstation. Sometimes the path being taken to get from your location to your opponents location is not ideal. For example someone with fiber internet in utah once reported a lot of their packets took a detour out to california before redirecting to the appropriate target so the latency to many other players was over 100ms. If something like this is happening to you then you may have green bar connections to some players in certian regions and then have yellow or red bar connections to other players in other locations because your connection is not using the shortest path to them. If this happens then your ISP would need to correct your routes so they use less hops, travel less distance, and therefor take less milliseconds to get from you to your opponent.

2 RepliesI got the same problem. But I can say for sure it's only since their matchmaking "fix". ... get disconnected with Weasel, first reconnect attempt result in a Weasel, then it's fine for 45 mins, after that... -Imago Loop

2 RepliesYour speed doesn't matter (you aren't getting 250GB/s, either). PSN has anti DDOS control and will automatically cap your upload speed to 50mb/s.

Somehow somewhere you're still getting some packet loss. Struggled with Weasel myself for a while.

2 RepliesSeriously doubt you have 250 Gbps connection.

1 Reply250Gbps?
