This is what happens when bungie just gives loot away. Now that you can get to max light without doing end game activities, the majority of the player base don't need to do it.
Like think about it. If theres so many people playing destiny why aren't more people play trials? Because there's no need to play it. It a hassle playing in y3 now. And even more so when the bounties don't even give y3 loot anymore.

Most people don't play trials because it's a massive sweat-fest. It's extremely frustrating to get crushed over and over and over without having a decent opportunity to improve. I don't necessarily think the OP's suggestions are the right thing to do, but there needs to be something to incentivize Trials for the more casual players. The bounties were a good start, but honestly it's not enough. And those rewards are pretty weak too.

I do agree with you but also the problem runs much deeper then that. I feel this is what people need to be talking about. Why is y3 trials so different then y2? With all the updates bungie has made, specifically the April update, Destiny is out of wack now. Trials is extremely sweaty because people aren't playing it. But why? Trials hasn't changed, in fact there should be more people playing now then in y2 and y1. People can blame it on lag, sweaty, or even matchmaking people need to start looking deeper.

They don't play it because they don't like it.
