Edited by whatever88: 12/23/2016 3:55:38 PMI have a very specific line that I try to follow on each track. It's the optimal line. Most people have found this line and it's easy to end up grouped together. Rubber banding also makes it so that there is less gap between positions. I won't go out of my way to hit you but I will go out of my way to stay on my line.

3 RepliesMan when will people stop complaining about losing? In the 80's when a Goomba killed us while playing super Mario, we didn't start writing Nintendo asking for goombas to be nerfed. Dear Mr. Kawasaki, I'm writing this because it's not fair that these goombas are so powerful. They walk towards us, doing nothing else at all, way too fast and it doesn't give me enough time to jump on their heads to squish them. Sometimes I jump in time but I end up jumping into a really slow turtle and it kills him, but the turtle's shell immediately bounces into a big green pipe and ricochets right back into me and I die. Can you please make the goombas stationary? And also make it so that the turtle shells move at a much slower pace? Thanks in advance, Special ❄️

You do understand this post invites hate, right? Why do this to yourself? Just race, rage quietly, and race again. These posts do nothing but get attention but ever change ANYTHING. But I guess that's what you want.

The rubber-banding physics make it impossible to play "clean". No matter how much you try to avoid it, you will bump and be bumped in return. *shrug* It was exactly the same last year. Shit happens, move on. You get better drops for losing anyway.
-
Why do you bitches need to whine about everything? How the -blam!- is bumping not clean? Its part of the game mode. This is like whining about the existence of bullets in pvp. Please just never post again if all you can do is whine.

It's a wonder how many idiots are in this community. If you honestly think the majority of people pushing others are doing it on purpose, you're naive.
-
I get it, I do, but you can't really race 'clean' when you have a small gate (the size of maybe 2 players) and up to 6 trying to hit it...I suppose people could slow down for others and waive them thru, but....yeah, stupid forklift
-
No... Sorry if I accidentally slammed you into the wall for a crash and burn, while I was trying to hit my gate. I hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me...

Not trying to sound like a douche but if you're way infront, they won't even have a chance to tickle you. Most of the "aggressive" riders are mostly shit. They waste their boosts trying to knock you off course. That's when you capitalise and beat them at every corner. Once you pull ahead, it's game over for them.

Well the general opinion of Deej, Cozmo and a large percentage of the forums - 'if you're not bumping, you're not racing' That should give you a clear indication... The overaggressive bumping has gotten pretty bad that I'm purposely waiting a second or two before I leave the starting line and really don't care if I come in last. I let everyone else play bumper car racing and will try to avoid it whenever possible. After you hit rank 5 - there is nothing really to race for outside of the rewards. Got a pretty damn good Eyasluna (399) for coming in last and that was without crossing the finish line. (I stopped short just to see what happens with the rewards)

Rubbing is racing.

it started out fine. good fun clean racing. now every race i get sent flying from someone bumping me.

1 ReplyYou're racing sparrows on fast, twisty and bumpy tracks with enemies shooting at you, abstacles on the track and everyone is trying to pass through the same gate. You're not going to get clean racing and I don't think it was meant to be clean racing either.
-
You've obviously not done any racing.

7 Replies1. Start the race 2. Tape down your R2 button 3. AFK for as many races as you want 4. Read a book/make food/punish the weasel 5. Reap the best rewards for last place But for real, it's hard to race clean because of the P2P servers. What you see isn't necessarily what your opponent sees on true screen. They could be right behind you but still knock you out of the way because, on their screen, they're next to you. You probably do it just as much, but you can't tell since you're only hitting them on their screen. It's also why it's impossible for you to bump back on your screen. I always race clean, but being in 1st with a good lead is your only safe bet to avoid bumping
