I am having the same problem. Gjallarwing, Iron Gjallarhorn, and the Sparrowhorn are all present in my inventory, but I am unable to equip them. ...and I also did preorder Rise of Iron.
Is there any solution yet?

I do not know about you, but I have bought 3 copies of Destiny so far, all with the dlc's, 1 for the PS3 and 2 for two different PS4's, and after all of the money I have put into this "game" the least Bungie could do is respond and say, "We don't know what the hell is wrong with our broken ass game." What is really sad is that my wife has her console and account, and not one single time has she gotten ANY of the pre-order items on any of the DLC's. And to be clear, we have have pre-ordered every single DLC so far. Does my wife complain? No. Why? Because she loves Destiny. It is where we fell in love and decided to finally get married. And for that reason and that reason alone is the only reason I still play it. But as it stands right now, unless Bungie pulls their heads out of their asses, Destiny 2 is not even on my buy list. MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA is though!!! At least Bioware will fix their games! The same can be said for Gearbox Software! I am done ranting now. [b][u]Bungie, fix your game! Fix our DLC items![/u] [/b]Or at least give us back some, if not all, of our money.

It is now 2021 and the lroblem has still not been fixed, i don't have pre-ordered but i do have the gjallarwing sparrow and rocket launcher wich i am able to use, however with the gjallarwing sparrow horn i also have it in my inventory but i am unable to equip it with the same red banner "Requires preorder Rise of Iron". Please fiix this @Bungie !!! It makes no sense to have them as preorder as the items are already in some people's inventory but are unable to use them because we can't preorder anymore if we wanted to, besides i darw to bet that you guys at bungie almost concider destiny 1 dead anyway so let us have a little fun before it is too late.
