To start my point off im a year one players, or if beta counts as, before year one player. Ive met so many nice people who dont judge others by their voice or their personality. But to get to the topic, im a 14 almost 15 year old kid,i got a pretty high pitched voice. I maxed out at 400 light on all characters. But i still wanna get some max light level loot for infusing. But its been a pain to find a raid group due to all this *No KIDS* Bs. Also been excluded and even kicked from groups that were simple tasks such as strikes, nightfalls, and even an ironbanner pubstomp.
Im not complaining for myself but every other kid out there like me. That wants to play the game and actually succeed and have fun in it. When we are called squeakers, i mean we were all there once amiright? But give everyone a chance to expirience a game that led me to stop being socially awkward, actually talk and make friends with others and ultimately have fun.

1 ReplyAs a guy in my late 20's I don't associate with teenagers. I find them immature and annoying. Pretty much I'm too old for their shit.

Edited by The icon of sin: 12/20/2016 4:36:36 PMMaby because some guardians have annoying younger brothers/sisters or have children and they play videogames to get some relax time for them selves. Most younger guardians think they know everything and are arrogant or have no respect to those with more experiance.
didnt want to say old
Maby just my opinion but i think that high pitched voice are annoying af. Maby off topic but can we get a law so when i play gta or whater 18+game i play there is no person below that age playing.
if you have problems with my grammar go kys. I have ADD and dyslexia(is that even how you spell it?) and iam dutch. English is not my main language. Grammar was my weakest point in school
I've played a few games with young kids with high voices who were just fine, but I've also played many with squeakers who won't shut up the whole time, talk about shit I don't want to hear about, tell people how to play even though they don't need to be told, and scream far louder than they should when they get the drop they want. None of these behaviors make playing the game fun so why would I willingly put up with them?
-
Why can't kids play together ... Because they find each other arogant, frustating, not listening, they get on your nerves ?!?!?! So maybe that's why older Guardians don't want them too.
-
Most people equate annoying chatterboxes with kids. Most of the time they're right but there are exceptions, not everyone under 18 is a squeaker. It's just the way it is. Until that changes, or those kids stop talking so much, start your own raid groups.
-
don't give a shit if you " squeak". It's not like Teens do it intentionally. just if you're gonna start to boss other players about, and for some reason "Squeakers" seem to do it the most IME, you're gonna get muted and booted.

Edited by Stupid Shinji: 12/20/2016 4:12:01 PMWhy should i , a grown ass -blam!-ing man, have to play with a little kid? I already have a 5 year old, I don't need to be gaming with them as well.
-
It's not stupid at all. I don't want to play with kids, it's as simple as that.
-
I already play with my fiances son who is also a squeaker. So when I get a chance to not play with a squeaker, I want to take it. I mean don't take it personally, I know not all of you are annoying, immature know-it-alls. I would simply prefer to play w/people my age that understand what I'm talking about during adult conversations.
-
Sorry, but I've been a part of way too many failed groups because of younglings. Most tend to talk way more than necessary about stuff I don't care about, assume they know everything and then die because they don't, and call out others for their own mistakes. "No kids" is what I look for.
-
Don't sweat it man. either find like minded... or just fake it.. try to talk a little deeper.. and refrain from Outbursts when dying or something cool happens.. reply with only the needs... 'Yup, Nope, empowered right ..etc..etc"

1 ReplyJust put in your requirements: LF raid group -No deep voiced people. -Squeakers only. When I used to raid a lot with randoms, I'd come across a younger player every now and again. There were good younger players and annoying younger players. The annoying younger players usually outnumbered the good younger players. Don't get me wrong, I gave every single one a chance, as I do with anyone.. but the second they start babbling jargon when communication is critical is when I start to have a problem. If we're just doing a jumping part, I don't mind the banter, in moderation. I like a good chuckle or entertaining story. I'm going to tell you now, I'm not going to be able to relate to your school day or how Jimmy jumped Harry today in the cafeteria because they disagreed on a Pokemon type or which episode of SpongeBob was the best. I choose to game with people above a certain age limit. I can relate to them more. It's not to say I wouldn't play with a younger person. If you're a respectful player, I'll respect ya right back.

Raiding it's important to stay calm and positive. Besides their voice kids makes everything stressful as -blam!-. I've seen good teams wipe over and over just because of one yelling ass little brat
-
It's nothing personal, I just prefer to play with people my own age and maturity level!
-
Reason one. I don't think I would want an adolescent to hear some of the things my raid groups say. Reason two. We don't have anything in common. Yes we both play destiny but I don't want to hear about your school day, parents screaming at you in the background, how much better you are than the team (Guardian Down), or your constant rambling of nonsense. Don't get me wrong little dude. I was a kid once too but the difference was. I played with other kids.

Best thing I've read all day

You just proved why "no squeakers" is a great policy.

4 RepliesEdited by Halfburied: 12/20/2016 2:01:38 AMI had a squeaker in my raid team once...didn't talk through out the whole raid but was sending messages to communicate and was a pretty decent player. Dude was decent enough to run a second raid right after we finished and so we did. We asked him why he didn't get on mic and he said he had a high pitched voice. I never been one to care how old you are or have raid requirements. so he finally mustard up the balls to get on the mic. Kid was kool we already had liked him only difference is now my inbox wasn't being overloaded. Point is kid chose to hide his voice cuz people are bothered by it. Kinda sad in my opinion kids will be kids and I expect the horseplay and besides people forget u can mute specific players if they're that annoying. Judge a person by their skills not age you'd be surprised how quickly they pick up on things and that includes seclusion due to age requirements.

Stop looking for Adults only groups on lfg. Start your own fireteam with players your own age.
-
I never thought I'd say this. But a while back, I made a post like this. Very few people supported me, that was a couple years back though. So I'm no longer a squeaker (Thank god) My voice has deepened a lot.
-
You can play the game, but.... If you squeak, I'm not playing with you. That's my right. If you don't like it, make your own group. Group leader makes the rules. Also, kids don't relate to what the rest of the group is talking about. It's like hanging out with a kid at the bar. The adults want to drink and shoot the shit, but we have some kid there that doesn't know what we're talking about.
-
1 ReplyI'm with and not with you since I got kicked from a party because I swore a little by a squeaker who said after "I'm doing trials like a little female dog
-
3 RepliesWhat s the age rating for this game?
-
1 ReplyHere's a solution: Grow up.
jk lol , but in reality the older people in this community don't have the patience to the younger players because of how they get enraged for little reasons, like a wipe in a raid, a death in trials, etc. it's just the way this community works, Breh
Make your own under 18 clan. I personally dont add anyone but if i did theyd be around my age.

5 RepliesYou're not that worse off. You have been flawless. Unless all 3 of you were "kids" (which is a term i never use) seems to be more an American term. Not a lot of people have been flawless so you have achieved something that's quite hard to get. Unless you were carried. You should maybe start your own raid group or even start you're own clan and have your own requirements.
