All the bouncing around and random elements, may as well just cut out the 4 minutes of racing and just get Drew Carey to host.

It should be readily apparent to anyone who has more than a few races behind them that sparrows in general handle like crap at high speed. All of them. Try to take a corner at high speed without using the side-boosters? You'll drift way, way wide. Dont hit the gate just right on a ramp? you'll belly-flop and lose speed. The handling is just atrocious. That said, everyone has trouble controlling these things. Add to that jockeying around to hit gates and you will, WILL, get rubbing and bumping. It's part of the race. It's going to happen. Yes people are going to intentionally push others around to make them hit walls or miss gates. I do not believe a single person complaining about the bumping can honestly say that they have not done it themselves in a bid to gain position. I hate the bumping but I've done it trying to move forward. Usually doesn't end well for me, but I admit to doing it and will probably continue to do it. Point is, the bumping isn't going to stop; this is a temporary event and nothing is going to make Bungie change it. It is what it is. Accept that you're going to get pushed around, maybe start pushing back, and in general just enjoy the race. Finish position means nothing except to ego: it does not influence rewards in the slightest. Kick back, shove/get shoved, and have some fun. Or quit SRL entirely and go do strikes or something. 1 ReplyI totally agree. If the collision physics were just more consistent it would be better. For example right now, I can push up against another Sparrow and it's about a 50/50 chance between sliding on top of them or pushing them sideways. If they could just make this more consistent one way or the other, it'd be so much better. That and getting dragged by the fans on Mars bug me so much.

3 RepliesHaven't been within 15 seconds of first place once, always have the most, or tied, gates and I get snagged on nothing. But I can't be bothered to gaf about srl enough to grind it and learn the new little secret paths.

6 RepliesWhat bugs me are the asshats who just try to spoil your day. Had a race where I just wanted to hit every gate for the hell of it. Was going to let the others have a good 20-30 second lead so I had the lane to myself. This jack-hole turned around and when the race started he just rammed me. The entire first lap was him checking me into walls of away from gates. Ticked me off so I said screw it and got serious. Ended up coming in first. Glad that's how it ended because I couldn't do that again after such a crappy first lap.
