When I activated it, it did indeed turn my head into a snow globe. But since I never climbed the top of fellwinter peak to get the siva cluster I figured I would give it a shot since the description mentioned something about the cold, cold climb. When I was climbing the peak I fell off once and hit respawn which took me back to the beginning. The next time I fell off I hesitated to hit respawn and instead of just waiting at the respawn screen it respawned my character back at the point which I fell from. I haven't played in awhile so I'm not completely positive but I think the souvenir once activated allows you to automatically respawn where you fell off of the cliff instead of back at the beginning if you don't hit the respawn button first.
