Crucible has Mayhem and it's fun. Why not PvE? Would also be fun...
Edit: it was brought up the ads would need to be increased. I'd be happy with that. Mayhem Strike with 4x the ads... I'd love the carnage!

The only way I see this working is if [b]all[/b] adds are Majors, and each only contributes to 1 orb of light generated up to the usual max per super. That'd make it quite challenging to keep your super perpetually charged since most supers often cannot 1-shot some Majors. It'd be paradise for exotic swords, though ammo may be scarce vs non-Fallen. I'd probably be spinning nonstop w/ my Dark-Drinker, which is quite fun.

It could be more like Archon's Forge where enemies continually spawn until you kill the final boss and the boss could have the stomp attacks removed so roaming supers and Fist of Havoc have a chance and give the boss another ability instead.

Mayhem strikes would be fun for a short while, but IMO, there's already way too much emphasis on strikes as PVE endgame content. I don't object to this idea, and it'd be a lot of fun, but I always thought that strikes are best done in small doses. What I really want is a return to the game as it was in Y1 (with some fixes to the ACTUAL issues) when we had reason to run the nightfall and the raid. And we were excited to do heroics for those strange coins - because Xur was actually important back then. I miss reset day excitement. Wish I could just delete Destiny and go back and play the game as it was 2 weeks prior to the launch of TTK, but that game doesn't even exist anymore...
