Error Nightingale

I am entering my 6th week with this nightingale error. Most of the time when I connect to destiny I get a nightingale error. Only occasionally I can connect to Destiny servers perfectly. I can't figure out why it works sometimes. What I have done to troubleshoot this problem: Cleared the Cache Re installed Destiny Restore my routers settings before I got this problem Factory Reset my Xbox and installed Destiny. Merged Destiny on an external hard drive Used Open DNS and Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 Launched Destiny signed out then pressed A to sign in via the game Contacted Xbox Support (explained below) Contacted my ISP (explained below) So after I contacted Xbox support to see what they think. They said for me to see the disc works on another console. The problem is I don't have access to another console that has Destiny on it that is physical (because all my friends are digital). Anyway my disc has not got a single scratch or spec of dust on it and have cleaned it many times with a slightly damp micro-fibre cloth or a dry micro-fibre cloth. The next step is to send out my Xbox to repair it. Though I don't want to fork out $200 AUD to fix my Xbox even though all my other games work and that Destiny works rarely. So then I hot spotted my phone to the Xbox. Destiny worked perfectly. So I then contacted my ISP (Optus). They said it isn't their end and all their ports are open. So what can I do now? Sorry this is so long, I just want to be detailed as possible :).

  • Hi TheLukeAmb, Thank you for listing out all of the troubleshooting steps you have already attempted! Your description of the issue and troubleshooting results seem to indicate that there is an issue in the way your connection is interacting with Destiny. You may want to try contacting your Internet Service Provider again and trying to get them to do some more in-depth troubleshooting analysis of your connection. When troubleshooting with your ISP, we always recommend that you attempt to launch and play Destiny while they are running their troubleshooting checks so they can get an accurate view of the way your connection is behaving (or not) with Destiny.

    • I have been getting it for about 48 hours. Haven't changed a thing on my end, other than cache clear/hard reboot

      • I got nightingale after the update rolled out. It worked fine right after update. Next morning - nightingale. Only thing that worked for me was an uninstall/reinstall of the game. It worked that night after reinstall. This morning, I log in and it's nightingale all over again. Bungie tweeted something, but I have yet to see any sort of resolution from anybody.
