Icebreaker Drop rate.
Buddy gets Year 3 ICEBREAKER on first character he runs through Nightfall, after not playing any Destiny for 6 months.
I complete all 9 Zavala bounties. No ICEBREAKER.
See ya'll on Tuesday when reset occurs.

1 ReplyYou know it's great when you have been doing the nightfall every week on all 3 characters with 2 other people doing it on 2 more different characters ( hunter, warlock, titan ) yet you still don't see an icebreaker pop up in your secondarys. I have made 1 other complete different account so I have 6 tries, still missing the one and only icebreaker. -bashing head against wall-

dude the game is making you work for it so it not boring, when u get it freely you dont feel complete trust me. if u work for it u will feel that you earned it an not given.

9 RepliesYep, 12 times so far over four weeks, and nothing. If this is Destiny 2, Bungie can pound salt. I'm not pre-ordering D2. This never ending RNG grind is ridiculous. Great social experiment, but horrible gaming experience. Gone are the glory days of gaming. Enter the micro transaction, money grubbing big studio nonsense.

it's February and i still have not got the Icebreaker, even though i play the Nightfall with Zavala's bounties every time :(

1 ReplySave for a week or two (It's January 24 when I'm writing this), I've completed every single Sunrise bounty on all three of my characters and still no Assbreaker! The worst part is I can't get access to my FAVORITE weapon of all time in any game! Utter bullshit

1 ReplyMy buddy and I have completed the nightfall bounty 13 times and neither of us have gotten icebreaker yet. With a third person everytime that's 39 chances to get it and I have yet to see anybody in my fire team obtain it. Both of us have played from day one. We have each logged in well over 1,500 hours playing. All these promises of rewarding year one players for their time and effort has been complete crap. What is all this time and effort for if the new players have the same chance of getting the Icebreaker?

3 RepliesCouldn't agree more...Beta player here with approx 2000 hours and we'll over $500 or more in game content (collectors editions, etc.) and merchandise (shirts, etc) not to mention how many players I referred BEFORE THE GD REFER A FRIEND BENEFITS! Still no Icebreaker... I'll try again but idk how many more times before I'm just out...I can only take so much torture...if it's anything like the Gjallarhorn, it'll take me about 900 more hours to get it...F that...

One guy gets ice on first run another on his second char andi get 3 crap weapons that I dismantle immediately. Sitting at login character screen now with zero motivation to continue. Year one, day one player and should already have ice as I've done the bs rng time for it already! Why the hell isn't it just unlocked if you have the year one version? What earthly reason is it locked behind a bounty and rng for year one players who already had it. I can tell you this. Far from motivating !E to play more. The disappointment of not getting it when others do just makes me fed up with bothering in the first place.

Same thing happened to my friend, he only comes on when new stuff gets released he got ice breaker on first nightfall on his only character last week. I had lbeen on Destiny playing consistently even when new weapons had been released and completed nightfall on all 3 characters last week and this weeks reset and no ice breaker... For me this is hawkmoon and Jade Rabbit all over again... and yeah see everyone next Tuesday for reset, going back to FFXV and last guardian butthurt or not Bullsh*t agreed

It's also called RNG....And you have a CHANCE to get it when you complete the nightfall bounty called "Sunrise" from Zavala.I didn't get the Icebreaker either this week, maybe we will have better luck next week

4 RepliesWhen I first started playing Destiny, Xur sold it one week after I started. I didn't have enough strange coin yet, and it turned out to be the last time he ever sold it. I was only able to get Year One ICEBREAKER, during Year 2 via Legacy Engram. Pretty disappointing getting nothing after grinding all 9 bounties tonight. I'll plug my console back in next Tuesday when reset hits. I have no desire for anything else in this update.
