Crucible Tips: The Strong side of Cover and How A Strafe Is Unpredictable
Here is the 8th episode of my Crucible Tip series. In this video I go over what the " strong side " of cover is and how I strafe. As far as the strafe, I show where the unpredictability comes from and how to obtain it. The topic is player model in first person shooters. Both tips that are taught are highly visual. This video has had a lot of positive feedback on my channel so I thought I would share this on the bungie forums. Hopefully, you can take something from it to insert into your game - CoolGuy

This is totally unacceptable. A high level pvp player posting a video on the forums that may actually help less skilled players. Please do not do this again. The most experienced PvP players quit Destiny a long time ago. Only players which are on the good side of latency and lag are still playing....and stubborn addicted players.

4 RepliesI haven't watched the video yet, but based on my experience. Strafing is kinda useless in this game. The aim assist just helps the opponent more than it helps me when I'm strafing ( I think I explained that right ). I can't account how many times I've been killed by an opponent who is just standing still spamming his shots while I'm strafing my arse off. I'll watch the video later and see if you've have a different approach on strafing.

Great video for newer players. But the main thing I noticed from this video is how much is going on graphically that we don't notice anymore. While looking at CoolGirl we can see shadows, lighting effects and reflections on the puddles of water around her. Pretty great looking game--it's easy to forget that sometimes.

Just watched all your videos. The strong side of cover really helped. The fusion rifle trick has made me switch to FRs as my primary. Something I have trouble with is killing airborne targets in CQB. Floating Titans and warlocks seem to wreck me. Whenever I go air borne I get showdown like a Zero over the Philippines. You should do a video on combating that and using it effectively.

6 RepliesGreat video! But I gotta say I find it sad you need to find competetive advantage in the deficiencies of the game model. The whole thing exists because your bullets don't really shoot from the barrel of your gun.

3 RepliesI have been wanting to ask a top player like yourself a question. I know some people is just good at a game but how do you get so good with the kind of LAG in this game? How fast is your internet? This is not a troll question but as a player in the top 1% in DEATH amount others I always find having very slow or very fast connection put you in a big disadvantage. I used to have DSL with was VERY SLOW like 1.2 Mb then I switched to cable with has 60 Mb and I thought having fast connection would solved my laggy experience but found it to be the opposite. Please take a minute of your time to respond to my "stupid" question. Thanks!
