Did Shaxx have a wife
Alright so I was walking by Shaxx when I heard him say some interesting things:
"I've never seen light like hers"
"Yeah well screw her"
The first he says dreamily the second harshly. So my theory is what if he had a wife but then they divorced. Maybe he didn't just stay after twilight gap because of crucible. These are just a few shower thoughts that might help flesh out the story a bit but might be totally wrong. Let me know what you think.

1 ReplyMost likely talking about Ikora Rey, especially from the new dialogue where it's mentioned that Shaxx still can't sit down after fighting her in the crucible. He has a heated rivalry with her but also the utmost respect for her prowess.

3 RepliesProbably not, but if he did. He screamed "THIS IS AMAZING" so loud it burst her eardrums. She was on the Omnigul strike as well. Omnigul felt pity on her that she couldn't hear and started transforming her into a Hive Wizard. She tried screaming like Omnigul does, but she did it too early and broke her vocal cords. She fully turned and became Ir Yut. This is why you can't hear Ir Yut sing and why she doesn't just start the song immediately.

There is no confirmation for this, but it's my personal theory that the first quote is referring to Ana Bray, a Hunter who fought at the battle of Twilight Gap. She was so powerful, that every shot of her Golden Gun left a pool of radiant Light, [i]which is still there to this day. [/i](NTTE Quest- Twilight Gap step) As for the second quote, Shaxx is actually saying, "Yeah, well screw it." So nothing special there.

Almost an impossibility for Shaxx to be married. The line about her having strong Light is probably him just watching a Guardian with strong Light fight in the Crucible. The line about not caring what she says is probably some higher-up lady who tries telling him what to do in his Crucible. I doubt there's any relation

2 RepliesAs far as we know from the lore, not a single guardian has been married. And those quotes from shaxx aren't exactly what you hear. When you heard "You don't see light like hers every day" he is possibly referring to either Ikora or perhaps the traveler. As for the "Yeah well screw her" it's actually "screw them". This is obviously means he's angry with something about the factions or crucible.

He is most likely referring to Ikora, who was said to be quite the fighter in her "Crucible days" to quote Cayde. This is referenced again in the revamped Omnigul Strike. Shaxx is just pissed she dismantled her Invective :P
