Anyone else think we need an answer from Bungie? Seriously who's idea was it to go "when our players shoot their opponent let's make their shots completely disappear" Edit: it's actually surprising to see the community's reaction to this is definitely not what I expected but I also see lot of "it's real physics" etc , c'mon real physics just look at the game you're playing in a shooter where I shoot my shots should land regardless. https://youtu.be/bZ24eDTg_s4 in this video that is not a long range we have all played on that map and that is a handcannon distance it's ridiculous. Second edit: look I don't want handcannons to snipe people to anyone who has used one for more than a game you will know even at small distances your shots don't register I don't care if I get sniped by a handcannon if the damage is 1 and the flinch 1 to the point where you just shouldn't.

    • What's fun about handcannon nerfs are that the only "broken" hc's were exotic in y1 and have already gotten the shaft (which is a whole nother story because exotics are what make destiny pvp destiny!!!) Sad that legendaries also continue to be treated this way. Just lower range there is no need to make perfectly aimed shots disappear. Lowering the skill gap is not the answer!!'vsuqkabsuqoa

    • Remove bloom decrease effective range and remove rangefinder from handcannons. Hancannons should never outgun scout rifles from scout range.

      • Does anyone know the optimal range of hand cannons. I was messing around with them yesterday and I was getting frustrated that I couldn't hit anything. I think it had to do with my being too far from my enemies. If anyone has some insight that would be great

        • Here's a novel thought. Remove ALL these "meta" perks from weapons and make it more about the gun (skill with the gun) rather than the perk! Sick of the whole "God Roll" bs that has been slowly eating away at the credibility of this game. Maybe add something like the ornaments to change each weapon up in terms of style or IF they must have perks make it consumables that give "perks" but only for a ltd time. I hope Destiny 2 goes down this route and we can all move on from this......

          • One thing to remember is removing bloom isn't magically gonna allow hand cannons the range and accurate that they had in the past. They're not gonna be mapping you because damage fall off is greater and hit boxes smaller the farther they are. What it will do is allow users to end rushers with spam firing the trigger. Making primaries one step closer to being great again. But let's remember one more thing, it's not gonna happen.

              • In the ps4 tourney that just happened on Sunday; Poshy missed a direct shot due to ghost gullets on Ozi and it cost them the game (losing them the series). When money is on the line in a competitive setting like that; how are ghost bullets remotely fair???

              • I'm gonna say that I'm against it, but I've been around since year 1. I remember getting two tapped across map by Thorn and Last Word. It would be instant, and just piss me off. I've also been watching some old footage from some of the games better players on ps4 from year one, with Hawkmoon in particular. That thing was absolutely ridiculous then. Wish I could've used it in its glory days. In addition to this, even though bloom is annoying, there are ways to fight it. Range perks (rangefinder, rifled/reinforced barrel) and accuracy perks (hot swap, hidden hand, icarus) are in the game and help hand cannons tremendously. I picked up and Imago Loop with Rifled Barrel, Rangefinder, and Luck in the Chamber. In a perfect situation, engaging from across a huge gap, I can 2 or 3 tap. Yes, a bullet will miss every once in a while, but this Imago feels better than the Palindromes that I've used. I'll stay with my argument of bloom staying in-game, but I can see where you guys stand, and why you want it removed. However, I feel like if they were going to do something about it now, it'd be too late.

                  • Bloom is only a problem when you are outside the capable range of your handcannon. I don't use a handcannon without rifled barrel. Part of the reason the vender Palindrome is so good.

                        Just to clarify, Bloom isn't Ghost Bullets. Bloom is the randomisation of bullet accuracy on each trigger pull. However I do agree, Bloom should be removed from hand cannons.

                        • Never played any pvp outside of destiny so not experienced enough to make a decision on weather it should stay or go, but I do think it's a little sad how limited for choice it seems we are with hand cannons, especially as I enjoy using them over any other primary... My hawkmoon (year 1 favourite) now sits with its pretty ornament in my (very full) vault along side other now nearly useless exotics, on occasion I bring it out to play but it feels way too inconsistent compared to the vendor palindrome as does the fist curse which I was so excited to get after about 6 months of trying... Then disappointed it wasn't as good as palindrome... Wish I was lucky enough to get a good eyasluna before rise of iron(wish they still dropped, cmon bungie VARIETY stop taking things away from us) but didn't... So yea if ya get rifled barrel, rangefinder etc hand cannons feel good otherwise 😝...choice is very limited...

                        • Played Titanfall 2 with handcannon(I know I'm dumb for not using auto) Wildly amazed with the range and accuracy of the handcannon. Destiny really dumbed down the range and accuracy of every gun in destiny. Don't even get me started with shotguns
