Assassin's Creed has never been a traditional stealth game. It's always been about hiding in plain sight.

AC 1 was dreadful. 2 was fantastic and they have steadily been getting more shit since. The stealth is a joke. The game is a joke. It's a shame.

I doubt you even played Unity, this wall of text sounds really generic to be an opinion. You even start off claiming the city in Unity is boring, which is utter BS. It's the most worked on city to date in these games minus Syndicate which I've never played. Minus the small glitches and annoyances Unity is actually a good title. Anyone who tells you otherwise is likely a bigger sheep than you are tbh, that opinion is just as common as the whole "CoD sucks" attitude.

You should have tried AC2 or ACB. You played all controversial titles in the series. The first is known not to be that great and is a bit lackluster. Unity is the absolute worst in the series. And AC4, although it was decent, was not a TRUE AC game. More of a pirate simulator if you will.

Agreed it's definitely not a stealth game but Ac1 has subtitles...

I was intrigued by the story and wanted to know more but the stealth was mediocre at best. -----it's a stealth game second. And they give plenty of tools to use stealth to a surprising degree. No sneak ability? I'm supposed to just walk casually from leaf pile to leaf pile? Wtf is this? -----so you're mad because he didn't crouch? That's kinda stupid. How is this a serious complaint? It's like your complaining your character moved a step when you pushed forward. You are literally complaining about a game doing what it is intended to do. and just infuriating you plus the combat is garbage still. Did Ubisoft ever evolve this series? -----they did. Have you only gotten to chapter 2? I'm not wasting my money on any more of these games. Why the hell is it even called a stealth game? -----it's an action adventure with stealth elements. A Google search would have cleared this up. Seems like you didn't do research. It's hardly stealth and there are no repercussions if you do something like murder someone in the street out in the open. -----incorrect. Reinforcements are generally called and in the later games you are hit with more snipers. And you can't murder civilians in the streets. Black Flag might not be a stealth game but it's still cool being a pirate and having your own ship.

The problem I have with Assassins creed is that it's way too easy. You can take on entire armies if you hold down the counter button. There wasn't any incentive for being stealthy as a result.
