Hardcore taken tot here, but is this a reference to how prominent FRs were in y1 because it seems like let of these "nerf fusion rifles" things are a joke. I've seen these in the forums before April update last year where nobody touched FRs so I'm confused. Hardly played in y1 so not sure

Edited by MiS_Schuey: 12/6/2016 6:25:31 AMIt's a long-running joke because fusion rifles (with the exception of Vex, which was subsequently nerfed into the ground) have never been OP but Bungie has repeatedly nerfed them for no apparent reason. It has basically become a "when Bungie doesn't know what to do, they nerf fusion rifles" type thing. Game on, guardian! -Day 1 player

Y1 was basically the prime for fusions and shotguns and ppl complained about them because of Pocket Infinity and Vex and Plan C which was basically a sniper to alot because u could get someone from afar with it, people got salty mainly the noobs that couldn't get a Vex I got mine after the first nerf which still wasn't bad but after that the vex was killed off for good from the next nerfs. And plan C range was subject of controversy so they needed range on fusions and increased spread. As for Pocket Infinity they just tried to nerf it and failed a couple times but made what was basically my dream exotic a useless thing eventually. Rip my PI and Vex. Even now tho fusions are still amazing u just need to find the good ones that hold up like the originals like saladins vigil and FWC fusion the vacancy. Fusions like those can still snipe people at long range just make sure to aim a bit lower as the recoil and spread makes ur shots go up higher. People are still salty specifically shotgunmers who get destroyed by fast charge close range fusions when they try to shotgun people but its not as bad. Overall the salt died down.
